I have an Asus K501UW-AB78 Laptop that has an ELAN1000 touchpad in it. I have tried any kext I could find for a touchpad but I could not get it to work. Is this trackpad supported with Hackintosh? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Many newer laptops use I2C for the trackpad. There is work-in-progress kexts available, but definitely not done (you will probably need developer skills just to begin using it).
