Asus P6T + GTX 260 + Mountain Lion = Can't wake from sleep

Status
Not open for further replies.
Unfortunately, still no luck...

I installed the CUDA drivers successfully.
I cut down org.chameleon.Boot.plist to look like tot's.
I repatched a fresh AppleRTC.kext
I'm using tot's dsdt.aml (I had to use a patched AppleACPIPlatform.kext to prevent the 2 min wait time during boot with this dsdt)
I verified I don't have NullCPUPower...kext

I put all my kexts in S/L/E and enabled kernelcache. That fortunately worked =).

Same exact behavior for sleep. I'ld give up and say that my hardware isn't working right, but I'm able to sleep/wake properly in SL.

Also, I tried to remote login to the machine again after wake just to make sure its not only lack of video. I can't login, so it not just a black screen, its just hosed after wake attempt. Can't seem to find anything in the system log during the wake attempts either.

Maybe its BIOS settings? but again, I haven't touched my bios settings since SL.

My boot up log looks fairly clean, too. Take a look yourself... (I masked out some stuff and replaced it with ### on purpose).

I tried switching out the GTX 260 card for an older ATI 3870 just to test if it is the video card. Still the same behavior, this is really getting to me, :banghead:

Any more ideas? Any ideas of things I should check?

I disconnected my second monitor and thought I would try with just 1 monitor. Also, this is how my system.log looks like when I try to put it to sleep.

Code:
Aug 9 18:34:01 Kuroi.local WindowServer[101]: Created shield window 0xbd for display 0x2b284bd1
Aug 9 18:34:01 Kuroi.local WindowServer[101]: device_generate_desktop_screenshot: authw 0x0(0), shield 0x0(0)
Aug 9 18:34:01 Kuroi.local WindowServer[101]: device_generate_lock_screen_screenshot: authw 0x0(0), shield 0x0(0)

Nothing in the log for when it tries to come back from sleep.

Can someone do me a favor and post what their system.log looks going to sleep and waking back up?

Thanks

I'd help you out, but I can't get it either. I just went even further back, tried to do a fresh install again and can't even fully install the OS. 80% of the way through the install process the system just dies

Look in the console for "Why"

Examples:

Why ?
Why USB

Same here.
Asus P5QD Turbo with GTX 260 XFX @ 10.8.1
PC go to sleep an all stand still but cant wake up.
Fans rotation but No Screen.

It's sad but I think I've given up on getting sleep to work on this machine. =(

The baffling thing is that many people got it to work with my exact same hardware. and it works with my exact same hardware for 10.6.8.

I've posted this on other forums without any luck of getting an answer.

No suggestions made here helped. I do appreciate the effort though guys.

Thanks for the tip.

I tried installing both the framework and the latest kext from the 10.8.2 directory in the link you posted as per aolive's instructions.

Still no luck, same symptoms.
