Logic Studio users can rejoice!

Apple released the much anticipated follow-up release to Logic Pro with "Logic Pro X". It contains a new UI and a considerable update to MainStage 3. Pricing has remained the same as Logic Pro at $199. One major feature built-in to Logic Pro X is something called 'Drummer' that allows you to play back tracks with any variety of drum tracks as if it were a session.

Apple what the hell are you doing with your apps?

FCP X -> Upgrade iMovie
LP X -> Upgraded Garageband

Actually I think you're mistaken- this looks like a refined and updated version of the same pro software to me.

The new features looking interesting. Looks like they are keeping it in the realm of music creation which it's always been a good tool. I was wondering if they were going to pitch the product more toward commercial rooms and post. It also doesn't look like what they did initially with FCPX by removing features that were essential to established workflow or to complete some projects. I don't see anyone here upgrading for a bit but at first glance it looks like a step in the right direction.

Sadly no 32Bit support anymore, a lot of plugs i will miss if i would update. 2003 was the first 64Bit Powermac released, and now 10 years later
still the implementation of a lot of plugins didn't find the way to 64bit.
