Removing the "framebuffer" entries highlighted below makes ZERO difference. Having those there neither helps nor hinders. Looks like I've hit a brick wall here. Thanks in advance if you can shed any light. Should I be posting about this in the Post Installation>Graphics section?

I wanted to report here for future strugglers that I have now fixed this. I have 1536 MB of VRAM and the monitor is recognized.

Two things:

1. Remove device-id property completely.
2. Add boot argument: igfxagdc=0

Also, none of the framebuffer properties seem to make a difference so I removed them.

Not so fast...

Whenever the system sleeps, I can't get the monitor to wake up and end up having to reboot. Anyone know a fix for this?

So basically disable any kind of sleep using Terminal...and we're done?
Yes pretty much. Unless there's something else that could trip it up like a bad USB map or other.
