Hello,

I just installed El Capitan (thanks for the easy method!) but I ran into a problem.
When I was installing El Capitan, my mouse moved slow and the graphical things (like loading a step) were very slow. After installation, I found out my display vram is only 5mb and it just says Display 5mb. My screen resolution is also locked at 1280x1024.

After some research i found that it has something to do with my gpu, a AMD HD 7670. After some more digging i saw something about a dsdt, but i don't have a single clue to set that up with the correct settings.

Is there any possible way to make the HD 7670 work or should i buy a second hand compatible gpu?

Note: its the oem desktop version, not the mobile (7670m)!

Thanks in advance,

Steyn

Look up your device id (System Profiler), it's most likely missing in the AMD drivers (AMDRadeonX3000.kext & AMD6000Controller.kext).
If it is, try spoofing your device id to match a known AMD card, e.g. 0x67581002.

Details are in the Radeon sticky thread in this section.
