well i could bring 2 versions:

1HP, 1LINEOUT, MIC, FMIC, LINEIN
1HP, 3 LINEOUT, DIG IN, DIG OUT

I guess there could be a recording version and no recording version, what do you think Macman? I'm only guessing on the 7.1 as Apple pumps all ports for ALC885 inside the verbs, that's why it gave me a clue to no limitations but maybe there is.

What if i do 5 paths maps for first version.

HP swap with Green Lineout
Back Mic Swaps with Front Mic
Linein
Dig In
Dig out

Make sense?

Yeah, I would call this a "Digital" solution.

And for an "Analog" Solution how about this:

  • Microphone swaps with Front Panel Microphone
    Line In
    Green Line Out swaps with Front Panel Headphone
    Orange Line Out
    Black Line Out
    Gray Line Out

Yeah, I would call this a "Digital" solution.

And for an "Analog" Solution how about this:

I will see if it works, I will be only injecting verbs for the ports i use, this way verbs wont get injected for no real reason.

All analog outs are working. Two microphone ins? Neither one of them doesn't work. Digs and line in are untested. I don't have front panel.

So those are my results. ;)
 
so both mics nothing? a few errors i cannot remove from as insertion errors due to chamelon but i will see what i can do for these mics.
 
I changed names to Internal mics because one of the names was none, doesn't affect it though. i'll muck around further but i will keep the 4 lineouts analogue, if i have to remove one times mic i will.
 
I've tried installing your kext, but still have no audio at all. The only way I've been able to get audio to work is through using a Vodoo kext, but that's just the green line out. I need my Mic input :(

I'm running a Gigabyte GA-P55A UD3. Could you tell me specifically which kexts I should have where, and any that I shouldn't have at all?

Tried out the kext tonight and here is what I found:
All analogue inputs work great; mic and line in
All analogue outputs work great; no popping or distortion
Digital output does not work at all; iTunes crashes and VLC will not output anything. My receiver receives no signal over Toslink. :(
