Hi ,

(just new here & speaking Dutch/Belgian , so forgive me my manners & used words...)

I just updated my Macbook Unibody Late 2009 to Mac OSX 10.10 Yosemite >>> (so far I see) All's well...

Then (...) I updated my Mac Pro 3,1 to Yosemite...
The update went apparently fine , until I wanted to play music over iTunes (on the board-speaker)...
The audio does not work...
I can not raise or lower the volume , there is no volume , except on boot...

Anyone advice...? :?:

Thanks in advance, H.

I hope you are a Sylvie Testud fan.

I have had no problem with Yosemite and sound with MP 1,1 or my MP 4,1.
In sound panel check that alerts give sound.
Try headphones and speakers in all jacks.
Try toggling airplay.
Check settings in Itunes.
Use audio/midi utility and check sound there.

On Mac Rumors I think I read some problems with iTunes and sound.
I think there has been an update to iTunes since Yosemite released to address this issue.
