OK I have almost got everything working correctly after installing my latest hack.
The smaller of the two issues I am having is that the ethernet keeps getting a 192.168.0 address after I reboot, I can then quickly change it back to a 192.168.1 address by going to system prefs/network and then selecting off for that connection then selecting DHCP again and it will then give me the correct address. No biggy but doing that everytime I boot up is a pain.
Next thing is the power consumption or the frequency etc of the CPU. I keep hearing the cooling fans ramp right up and usually it is at random times when I might not be doing anything. To test it I ran the Intel Power Gadget App and did nothing while it was running and the results are in the attached images. It seemed to be going up and down quite a bit but not sure if that's normal.
I have also attached some Cinebench scores for a reference.
Any help much appreciated.
