    X99 installation issues

Sorry for not responding for a while, I had a big school project which I needed to finish first. Now that that's done, I can put my full attention to getting this hackintosh to work. Which 'necessary files for boot' do you refer to? Allright, that sounds good! I think I've gone through this...

    X99 installation issues

I'm not new to the hackintosh world, but it's surely been a while. First of all, happy new year. I recently built a massively overkill X99 system with the following specs: - Intel Core i7-6850k - MSi X99A-MPOWER - 16GB DDR4-3000 Corsair Dominator Platinum - Samsung 850 EVO 250GB - MSi GTX 660...

    Problems with USB (Mavericks)

So the kext should be avoided, I get that. But how do I get USB3 to work?

    Problems with USB (Mavericks)

Hi, I have some weird issues with USB in my laptop. I have two USB2 ports, and two USB3 ports. Right after the installation of Yosemite, all USB2 ports are working perfectly. But somehow, after installing the GenericUSBXHCI kext, the USB2 ports stop working, and only one USB3 ports works...

A little more help with my dv6

Hi, It's been a long time, but I decided to resume my Hackintosh project on the dv6. I did a clean install, and I have installed Clover. Actually, everything is working brilliantly, apart from a few things: - USB 2.0 is not working for some reason... It did work out of the box, but when I...

HP Pavilion dv6: some help needed

Allright, I do have some experience patching DSDT with MaciASL, but where do I need to place this code? (I have attached my DSDT.aml) So I was reading the readme, and there I was told to execute the following command to determine my audio configuration ioreg | grep EngineOutput When I do...

HP Pavilion dv6: some help needed

Hi there, It's me again, with the dv6-6b41ed. I have everything running nice and smooth, even the AMD gpu is kind of working. But that one is disabled for now, I am going to take a look at that later. The following is my situation: I have installed Mavericks (10.9.4) on my dv6 and here's what...

It works! Thanks. I am currently running into some more problems, such as my battery. I am starting a new thread for that.

HP Pavilion dv6 black screen on install

I have the 'Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller', according to DPCIManager. I have already tried both the 'Realtek RTL81xx' and 'Realtek RTL81111' options from multibeast, as well as the bootflag 'EthernetBuiltIn=Yes'. All of those options without success...

HP Pavilion dv6 black screen on install

Well, when I do this, I run into a problem. With the kernel patcher module, my ethernet connections just dies. It says 'No cable connected', but I do have a cable in my laptop. Without the module, ethernet works just fine, but then I am required to boot with cpus=1. Is there a way to fix this...

HP Pavilion dv6 black screen on install

Thank you so much! It didn't take me too long to find out how MaciASL works, but I was able to patch my DSDT, with success. I am installing OS X at the moment, once it has finished I will install KernelPatcher, and hope it works.

HP Pavilion dv6 black screen on install

What I mean is, after the boot where you should get the language chooser, I get a white flash followed by a black screen. I am using MacbookPro8,1 SMBIOS.

HP Pavilion dv6 black screen on install

Hi, I am not new to the Hackintosh-world, I have built a few of them already. But my new laptop is a bit of a troublemaker. I have a Mavericks Unibeast USB, I can boot from it, but as soon as it is asked to show me the installation menu (the part where the graphics kick in), I get a white flash...
