Sweetest, easiest update yet! Followed the guide to the letter and zero problems, audio was still working....everything! Completely forgot I just got a new Apple Watch and it even unlocks my Hackintosh now!
Success! The first adaptor I picked up was not rated for 4K but I’ve just received a cheaper adaptor from Amazon Canada that works and I can now choose 60hz in 4K! :headbang:
Ok, when I get home I’ll do more reading. My understanding was that although an HDMI 2 port isn’t supported, connecting to a DisplayPort using an active adaptor should work. I appreciate your input.
Cheers
Oh no! Yes specs on the card is HDMI 2. So I guess I shouldn’t even bother and just stick with 30hz then? I guess I read or misinterpreted the info I found. D’oh!
Thanks!
I know my HDMI cable is rated to do 4k @60hz because it will do it under Windows 10 WITHOUT the display port adaptor. The Hackintosh will only do 4k @30hz as we all know without an active adaptor, or so it seems from the forums here.
So I go down to the local establishment and pick up an Active...
I worked on a clients MacBook Pro a while ago and it would crash when running the Photos App in Sierra. I had her go through Apple for repairs and it turned out to be a defective graphics problem. My 2 cents.....
AFAIK this isn’t breaking the site rules:

Hard to say exactly but when you update the BIOS, settings in the BIOS don't always stay the way they were. Try looking at Storks' thread for his suggested settings for help. Post #1
Now that Pascal is supported I've removed my Radeon HD6870 and the HD530 graphics properties from Clover and I've just successfully enabled and wok from sleep for the first time on this rig!
OK, after 3+ months of waiting I think I'm tired of waiting. Can someone tell me what a good Maxwell equivalent would be to a GTX1060 w/6GB would be? It's a real drag because this card just rocks under Windows 10 and meets my #1 requirement of being pretty much totally silent, even under load...
