That sounds pretty wierd. Try doing the 10.8 install like you mentioned and then Mavericks. Hope that would solve the problem, but if it doesn't I'm afraid I don't have more suggestions.

Hi Geminii, I connected the Cintiq as in any normal Mac or PC and it worked right off the bat after installing Wacom software. You only need DVI screen compatible out, which the MOBO does have, and USB. I did not had any problems. Hope this helps

WiFi should work out of the box even on safemode ( -x ) Is it not working for you? I'll let you know if I find an audio solution.
