    First time build - Skylake

Make sure you study this helpful guide from ammulder: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/10-11-4-skylake-starter-guide.193628/ You can get an ASUS board to work, but generally the Gigabyte boards are easier to configure and are generally recommended by the site administrators. I think for a...

    Z170 Skylake build

Hi, M1tch, It's expected that Apple will offer complete Skylake compatibility in a future version of OS X. It may come as soon as their next media event scheduled for March 21st, at which time this site will probably update their March or April build lists. One way to approach a Skylake build...

Pretty much all the Gigabyte and Asus boards. See for yourself. And Amazon only sells through third parties.

    January Buyers' Guide

I haven't checked every one, but it seems like Newegg doesn't stock any of the motherboards listed on the January Buyers' Guide. Does it make sense to include those links?

Small size build with Thin Mini-ITX Asus H81T mainboard (very simple installation)

I agree. Very impressive. I didn't understand why you selected this particular board. What other ITX boards would you recommend for this type of case? Or do you only recommend this one?

    Cannot Access Gigabyte UEFI Setup

I found the solution by clearing the CMOS values and then resetting the BIOS. In hindsight, I'm not certain the problem stemmed from upgrading to El Capitan and Clover. Instead, I think something happened when I removed my CPU fan and broke the thermo-paste seal with the CPU. I ran the computer...

    Cannot Access Gigabyte UEFI Setup

After installing OS X El Capitan back in November, I used the Clover post installation method since at the time v. 8 of Multibeast was not available. Everything seems to run perfectly EXCEPT I can't access the UEFI BIOS setup screen for my Gigabyte Z77 mini-ITX motherboard. Now I get a blue...

Is there a difference between these Nvidia drivers you mention in this post and the CUDA drivers I update through System Preferences? If so, can you explain the difference?

    GIGABYTE GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 Intel Z97 moBo & osx86

According to the latest buyers' guide, none of the 9-series boards have been tested yet and no firm deadline has been set. Sometime later this year I guess it becomes official. Why don't you go for it and keep a log of your experience. I'm sure a few of us would find it useful. But no one will...

    Building a Beast machine

You might want to consider getting 1000w PSU in case you want to overclock and still have enough headroom. 750W isn't bad, though.

Intel 4000 graphics driver crashes Windows 7 on my CustoMac H77N-Wifi 3570k

I tried several times to install "mb_driver_vga_intel_64_7series.zip", which is the latest one I downloaded from Gigabyte's site. Maybe that's the one you tried as well although it sounds like you tried different versions. Like yours, it crashed my Windows 64-bit installation so I reinstalled...

Trouble installing Windows on a Gigabyte with usb

Have you tried to install Windows using a virtual environment such as VMWare Fusion? That will usually tell you whether the .iso file is free of defects. A trial version would be sufficient for this exercise.
