    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I have not been able to do anything but mine was pretty quiet with the original fan at idle. The nice thing about my new fan is that it stays at a pretty constant speed. Sadly, the noise is around 40 dB at that speed but at least it is relatively consistent even under load. I don't think that...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I am guessing that it is the Molex 0510210400, which is WM1722-ND if you look on Digi-Key. I also looked at the 4-pin JST connectors that they stock and none of them had the same connector top. Another determining factor is the pitch and I don't have a caliper to determine if it is 1.25mm or...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

You would have to use the stock heaksink because it is molded around the power button and some of the components. Another issue is that you can't use the screw holes without modification to the fan even if you buy a 75mm Dynatron. Dynatron's fans use screws from underneath and those lovely...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

So, I ended up cutting off the connector of the original fan with some of the wires attached and soldering it to the Dynatron DB128015BU wires because the connector is impossible to find. I am actually still working on figuring out the part number. Regardless, it fit into the case and it...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

That is interesting; I made a service ticket with Gigabyte and provided a screen shot of my temps. They tried to pass it off as something that I was doing. I replied that almost every professional review talks about heat issues and they asked what temp it is when I first turn it on... Um, room...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I just got my replacement Brix this morning and it also idles at 65-70 degrees and the fan stays around 1120 rpm. To me, it is ridiculous that the BIOS is happy with keeping the fan idle at those temperatures. I am thinking about adding this beast in place of the current blower. I think that...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I found this fan that moves 15 cfm but it is an 80mm and I'm not sure if it would be possible to attach a wider blower to the heat sink. The latest BIOS version is F4 and I thought that you could customize it since it said fan feature curve but I guess not. For those of you that have had it...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

The fan is an Everflow BB7515BU and I saw that it was about 12 cfm from one of the Chinese suppliers. I couldn't find a 75x75x15mm blower that moved more cfm or was quieter but maybe I wasn't looking in the right places. The latest BIOS allows for fan control but I haven't tried it yet because...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I would assume that it uses the same blower fan; I would think that there would be less room with the fans and GPU. The 15mm is the smallest thickness blower fan that I saw when I was trying to find a way to put a bigger one in there. And I believe that I read that the side fans are 40mm but I...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I will probably end up getting this one if a 20mm fits in the case. The wires are long enough to go across the case and plug into the header and it should move a decent amount of air. I haven't really heard of most of the manufacturers that I have seen so maybe just a relatively quiet one?

That does look like a fan header; that would be convenient. My M500 got up to 75 - 80 when my fan failed and it throttled but seemed to be fine. I can't test it until I get my new one but it should still work.

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4930#ov You can see them in a few of the shots; they are on the left side in most of the pictures. They are right next to the mSATA. In the Brix Pro, it would probably only fit on the other side of the MOBO with the heatsink and CPU...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I was thinking about grabbing one of these and possibly shortening the length so the cable isn't wrapped around everywhere inside the case. I have seen some that have 6 (and even 8) connectors for fans; that many might be pushing it for a MOBO but an extra 17 or 20mm fan should not tax it too...

    GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R brix pro

I had an i5 Brix Pro last week that idled at 60-70C and the fan died the day after I got it. For those of you that are idling around those temperatures, you might want to make sure that the fan is ramping up because mine stayed quiet the entire time and never really sped up. Has anyone tried...

    Boot and Functionality Issues

The internet seems to have sorted itself out using the Realtek Lnx2 Mac based on the specs in the link below. http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4337#sp Here is what I did in case anyone else is having the same issues: -Installed OS X using UniBeast (this part worked...

    Boot and Functionality Issues

The idea seemed simple: follow the build guides, install the OS, use MultiBeast to get audio and Internet... profit. I am having lots of issues, though. I cannot get my internet to work and I have tried both the Realtek and AppleIntel files in MultiBeast. I get the Boot0 issue and using the...
