[Solved] New user hackintosh attempt (Please be gentle)

Also just attempted removing the Nvidia card and just trying with the HD530 iGPU with inject intel. That works the same as if I have nv_disabled with the nvidia card installed. Makes me think it's maybe not a GFX issue?

[Solved] New user hackintosh attempt (Please be gentle)

Hello Guys, First of all, here are the specs of my system, unfortunately when I built the system, I didn't have a hackintosh in mind, but it's nothing special so didn't think I would have many problems. CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3 (Updated to the latest...

Can I install MacOS on this PC

Should be able to install mountain lion fine on that. If you get a black screen during install (no signal) try instead using boot flags -x -v -f npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes And try again. Then once installed use Multibeast to get your sound and stuff working.

A few problems with my build

Well.... During a boring bank holiday at work yesterday with nothing to do, I decided to attempt the Hackintosh again... This time I changed some BIOS settings and after install the only boot flag I needed was PCIRootUID=0 :headbang: So obviously that was a quick fix and now it boots up...

A few problems with my build

Well as an update.... I decided to give it a try, I installed OSX with no GFX card installed, updated and installed kext from unibeast and put the dedicated GPU back in. Still just a "No signal" from the monitor on boot (Even with the -x flag) So looks like I will have to buy a new GFX card...

Configuring my now supported hardware thanks to 10.8.3

What have you done then? Installing VIA the onboard and then going to use the dedicated GPU post install? As I will be doing the same thing (With a different card) so curious to see how it works :p But I assume it will just be a case of using Multibeast to install the kext for your GPU?

At the screen where you choose USB, have you tried putting in -x -v and then hitting enter?
