all fixed and working, the screen problem was using a vga to div converter, it didn't work, so i need to get a new screen, the Fakesmc is now working and it was down to my error, i didn't tick all the check boxes when i installed it, Yup i feel silly.

I have now noticed this, if i leave the monitor connected to the dvi port and the other to the hdmi, as the pc boots i see the boot screen etc on the dvi screen and not the hdmi, ML boots and then the dvi screen goes off and the hdmi screen goes to a grey screen as if its getting a signal, Do...

Morning Bump :D any ideas guys this is driving me crazy, One thing i have now noticed is that if i connect the dvi screen as well as the hdmi, upon boot up its only the dvi displaying, then once its boots in to osx that screen goes off and the hdmi screen stays grey, I am baffled tbh.

Good morning and thanks for your reply, i have done as you suggested, i get all the icons at the top but they are all greyed out apart from the thermonitor icon thats red, the drop down list only shows the hdds, any ideas mate, big thanks for you time to reply and help.

HI Ok, so a very cleen install ok ML on this machine, z77x-ud5h gtx 670 i7 3770k retail. The only thing that seemed to have a problem was getting the machine to boot by its self so i ended up just keeping the thumdrive in the back, not a problem TBH for me, the audio needed to be installed now...
