[SOLVED] PCIe Lane Width: x8 showing (on a x16 slot)

Worked for me too. On my Asus USB 3, SATA 6, and PCIe x16 all share the same bandwidth. USB 3 and SATA 6 had to be turned off, then I had to power off the power supply and I was able to get x16. I think these manufacturers are a little misleading. If I knew this before buying this board, I would...

Was there something wrong with that DSDT? I installed it and then my system would not boot. I had to re-install.

    issues with 5770

I have a Asus P7P55D-E LX with a Gigabyte GV-R577UD-1GD Radeon HD 5770. I am all set with booting, and almost everything is fine except I know my graphics are not working as they should. Novabench scores are very low. My profile shows my PCIe lane at 8x instead of 16x. I'm thinking this is why...

Need some help with ASUS P7P55D-E LX

omg omg omg, I'm so happy. I finally got it working!! One slight issue with something I noticed though. It appears to be identifying my video card properly... it says ATI Radeon HD 5000, I have a 5770. it shows the 1024 MB of ram, but it says my PCIe lane is x8, it should be x16.

What kind of video card are you using? I picked up that motherboard but I can't get it to boot properly after updating to one of the combo updates. I think it might be the video card, but it's the Gigabyte 5770 recommended by Tony. I think it might be the combination of the MB with that video card.

    Can I use 2 x 4GB?

Hi, I'm building my box and am buying a motherboard that supports up to 16GB of RAM. I read in the tutorial to start with 4 GB. However, I want to leave some room to upgrade to 16GB. This means I would need 4 x 4GB DIMMS. I will need to have them in pairs. The question is, could I build the...

Thanks. I was looking at this one but it's not in stock from amazon. The seller has a high price for it. Maybe I should just wait until it's back on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XD ... cx86com-20
