Hi, I'm building my box and am buying a motherboard that supports up to 16GB of RAM. I read in the tutorial to start with 4 GB. However, I want to leave some room to upgrade to 16GB. This means I would need 4 x 4GB DIMMS. I will need to have them in pairs.

The question is, could I build the system with 2 x 4GB? Or do I have to start with 2 x 2GB?

Thanks!

I built a Hackintosh based on the GA-H55M-USB3 motherboard and started with 2x4GB, it worked fine. A month later I upgraded the memory to 4x4GB, it is still working fine.
