    Duel Boot / is no longer available

    Well the good news is my Windows 7 drive is/was just a test install. I managed the X79 from there and installed a render farm. Here is the order on which I did everything: 1. OSX Install (first time) SSD 2. Unplugged everything and installed Windows 7 on a HHD. 3. Everything played nice...

    Duel Boot / is no longer available

    My OSX and Windows are on two separate drives. OSX is on a SSD and Windows 7 is a HDD. I also have NTFS for Mac, if that's what you mean.

    Duel Boot / is no longer available

    Greetings! My first Hackintosh build was set up to run Lion only. I installed Windows 7 as a second boot. All worked until my Lion had a system crash. I reinstalled Lion and now, oddly enough, my new Lion install works even better than before. However, my Windows 7 option to boot from is no...

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    Well, finally got Lion to work!! Everything reinstalled and the system feels pretty good. Funny thought, my GTX570 actually works with Raytrace 3D in After Effects now (it wouldn't before, hints why I wanted a 670 installed). So I guess there is no reason to keep the 670 if it caused problems...

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    LOL Nope. ML hangs on [ PCI configuration begin ] and may or may not reboot. I tried all of the GraphicsEnabler=No and what not, nothing. This machine doesn't want OSX anymore, I guess ... :( I'm out of ideas.

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    Interesting. I just purchased it now. Hopefully this will fix everything and ... "work." Thanks for your suggestions! I felt like Lion was a stack of cards just waiting to be blown over with a sneeze.

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    I actually have two Nvidia cards, one GTX210 for a spare monitor or two and my original GTX570 with two monitors connected to it. When I connect my 670, the login screen never comes up; it just goes to sleep (both the 210 and the 670). It actually doesn't matter now, I installed a MBP2012...

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    Yes, that's what I always enable (no) and when I reboot ... CRASH. The system just hangs and hangs and hangs. I still cannot get it to boot. No Safe Mode, nothing. I have no idea what to do at this point. Cept buy MacDrive and convert everything to PC.

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    I tried the 10.7.4 MBP2012 graphic drivers under an article that was called "Getting 670 to work with Lion" and now my computer won't boot ... at all. It's stuck at Overclocking under NVclockX or something. I have no idea how to get back into my computer... I'm starting to think Hackintosh isn't...

    GTX670 = Doesn't work, no displays, help!

    I'm currently using a GTX570 for Adobe CS6. I wanted to upgrade to a GTX670. I installed all of the recent drivers, CUDA and did the OpenCL patch suggested to make the GTX670 run. (I'm on Lion 10.7.5) When I install the card and booted, I make it past the Apple loading screen and all screens...

    Mac or PC (OSX or Windows)

    It does't matter if it's Mac or Windows? Or just learn PC and not ask for a Mac? Their IT department are all against Macs and none of them are really trained to work with maintenance with a Mac. I, on the other hand, think it's silly and should push for a MacPro.

    Mac or PC (OSX or Windows)

    I'm currently at an editing job that is ALL PC based (except for the graphics department, as they are all on Macs). The company wants to buy a 40TB fiber storage system and says we will be able to edit directly from the server. Question is, I'm trying to push them to purchase a Mac, as I've...

    Question for the Video People

    Most of the cameras I edit with are the Canon 5D/7D, RED and Sony 300. I used to edit in FCP 7, but I've switched to Premiere CS6. Unfortunately they are all SD cards and not firewire. I do have a GL1 LOL that I have captured a few things with on my Hackintosh. I'm currently using a...

    FCP Studio 3

    I did the exact same thing. I'll never turn back. My Adobe CS6 is lightning fast with my 12 threads and GTX 570. Final Cut is a little buggy with Lion, but compressors sores with 12 threads in Quemaster!! I love my hacky!!

    Patched native 10.7.5 kexts for 4x30S

    DUDE!!!! This totally fixed two things for me!! 1, I accidentally updated to 10.7.5 from 10.7.4 and it locked up my login screen for about two minutes before I could click anything. 2, During my 10.7.4 days, my MOTU firewire device always pinwheeled (the volume icon) for 2-3 minutes...

    DVD stops ejecting / Disk Utility stops working

    Well, I think I've narrowed it down. It isn't the connecting to network drive, it's Time Machine. I just booted my computer up and went to get coffee. As I returned, Time Machine had run and I got an error "Could not back up Lion Recovery to /Volumes..." and "Could not find requested backup...

    DVD stops ejecting / Disk Utility stops working

    Well crap LOL. I have other issues I'm trying to attend to as well. My MOTU 828 MKII works great but after boot, it takes my computer about 2 minutes to initialize the firewire port. Even if I unplug the MOTU and have nothing connected to my computer, still 2 minutes to initialize the audio...

    DVD stops ejecting / Disk Utility stops working

    Bummer! My CD/DVD drive is a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222BB. Would this have anything to do with my problem? The sales dood at Microcenter suggested this optical drive for my Hackintosh. I'm thinking maybe it wasn't a good idea.

    DVD stops ejecting / Disk Utility stops working

    So, I've narrowed this problem down. After boot, all works. The minute I APPLE+K to connect to my network drive, I notice my DVD stops responding to my EJECT button. And when I load Disk Utility, it pinwheels forever. And when I say EJECT stops responding, the large grey eject icon stops showing...
