Airplay works over normal networking, I have not made any attempts to get onboard WIFI working as it generally doesn't work...
Weird, what issue did you have?
1. Haven't tried to get internal BT or WIFI working
2. Both front and back work as full NVMe :)
Sorry for the late replies, haven't...
I have not tried the designare board but I can say this Aorus is as good as it gets when installing a hackintosh, the only exception is the WIFI which basically doesn't work on most boards. I use USB boot and its pretty much plug and play, flawless.
You may be able to run another MP600 but you...
SSD fits great on the back of the board :)
Original thread also updated for 10.15.4 - Refer to file EFI_v2
100% working with updated CLOVER and KEXTS - all included :)
Components in Build:
Intel 9900KS (4.7Ghz All Core undervolted to 1.18v for better thermals and silent operation at idle)
Gigabyte AORUS Z390 I PRO WIFI (F8c BIOS)
32GB G.SKILL Trident (3200Mhz)
Sapphire Nitro+ 5700XT (2x HDMI / 2 x DP) (Modified to run fans at 10% instead of off)
Corsair MP600...
You are kidding right? These GPU's are pathetic.
Unfortunately there is no way in hell I am downgrading my watercooled Titan X Pascal back to my old 980ti, either this driver happens or I'm jumping ship soon, hackintosh isn't what it used to be anyways. I have tried the internal GPU route and...
Harden up mate, I am not crying, I am just saying that enough waiting is enough. Obviously Apple want to stick with inferior GPU's from ATI and it doesn't suit the sort of work I do. Unfortunately if my hack goes back to Windows (as much as I hate Windows) so does the rest of my hardware as I...
I'm pretty close to ditching OSX now. Unless support comes for my Titan XP within a month. The onboard GPU simply isn't working properly and the screen keeps blacking out briefly over and over when interacting with the OSX and I can't fix it. If I ditch OSX on my hack then I am getting rid of my...
I had the same problem on my old UD5H randomly on boot, can't remember exactly what fixed it but try:
-no-zp as a boot argument
throttle back the CPU to 4ghz if its overclocked to 4.3ghz+
unplug non essential USB devices
what graphics card are you using
Its a weird failure that I have...
I gave clover a go but didn't get very far with it and had freezing issues almost immediately when booting in, different from what the multibeast install was doing though.
Didn't like the boot loader either lol was doing some weird things with the UEFI boot system and trying to boot off the 1...
Ditched the Gigabyte board and put in the ASUS Maximus Hero VII after seeing some success reports. Disabled the onboard stuff as per usual and set the CPU to 4.5ghz. OS X booted straight up with no reinstall and its been fine so far, will say its perfect in a week once its had a decent run but...
Everything seems ok now, 32GB ram fully loaded, no more deadbeef errors on boot, no lockups :) been doing a bit of work in final cut pro today
Will keep an eye on it over the week, didn't even need to reinstall.
Decided to abandon this mainboard after having an offer to upgrade, was working "ok" with 16GB of ram then started getting random failures on shutdown and deadbeef errors on boot up occasionally. In short I am over it lol, should have learnt my lesson from the Z68X-UD3H with the BIOS corruption...
Yup thats the memory, like I said it looks like a memory issue but there is more too it... Cant have 2 faulty sets of memory that work perfectly in Windows or anything else other than OS X. Searching the forums I have found similar reports on Z87 platforms as well from other users.
Weird that...
It is a brand new set of Vengeance Pro 1866 32GB kit, runs perfectly in Windows including gaming, had the same issues with the previous set of ram as well. For some reason its 4 sticks that is causing it on mine. Just tried the F10b bios as well and same result.
Just to give everyone an update, gave clover a quick go and didn't have much luck getting it up and running so took a break until I have more time. I went up to F9 bios with another install and it still crashed however removing 2 sticks of ram seems to have stopped the issue. Seems to be some...
Yeah I have heard USB 3 thrown around a little, one thing I didn't try was disabling the controller. I'm on the F8 bios currently and yeah haven't gone to F9 for that reason of not being able to roll it back. Will try clover first on a spare SSD :)
