    FakeSMC keeps breaking

This is what I was thinking, but the issue disappears whenever I reinstall it using Multibeast. Maybe there's a problem with the kernel cache since it boots with -f? I'm just having a hard time finding what actually breaks it...

    FakeSMC keeps breaking

Hi, every so often when I reboot my computer, I get the message "waiting for root device...", which I know is caused by not having FakeSMC installed. Every time this happens, booting with -f gets me to the desktop, where I can reinstall it using MultiBeast. Then it works for a while more until...

    Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H dual ethernet

My motherboard comes with 2 ethernet ports, but only one of them is picked up by OSX. When I connect a cable to one of the ports it is picked up fine, but when I connect to another one nothing happens. In network preferences only one port is picked up. I don't really do anything with networking...

    help with invisible discs

Well it says that your disks can't be visible because of the "nobrowse" argument, the only way you can see your disks is using terminal. You could create an automater script that runs the suggested command when you double click it.

    Razer Blade as Hackintosh Laptop

It might work, but you won't have things like wifi and bluetooth, and you will probably not be able to get the full potential of the hardware because of driver issues. I wouldn't count on it, but you might get lucky. As for the RBP, you will definitely not be able to get the trackpad working in...

No clue how to go about this...

Best thing to do would to do a clean install on a separate partition then move your files over manually. Your hardware should be perfect for hackintosh, and I don't think you'll be having any problems in the future. Only thing is that your video card isn't exactly supported, so use the built in...

hd4000 internal card? or buy cheap ass seperate card?

The wheel spinning is usually just a problem with a bad internet connection. 4000 graphics should be able to handle 1080p video fine.

    Motherboard not receiving power GA-Z77X-UD5H

Just tested the PSU by shorting pins 15 and 16 and the fans started spinning. Just have to see what is wrong with the motherboard.

    Motherboard not receiving power GA-Z77X-UD5H

I was just tinkering around with the chameleon bootloader, looking at all the options and stuff. I scrolled over to my windows partition, scrolled down, and hit memory info (I had never clicked it before, so I was wandering what it did.) After I did that the screen turned white starting at the...

    Not booting after deleting raid

Gigabyte z77x-ud5h Intel i7 3770K Alright, so I recently raided my two ssds using apple's disk utility. After I raided the drives I reinstalled OSX using a time machine backup, started up, and everything else was as it was before. I decided that it wasn't worth raiding since I couldn't...

Putting two SSD's into a RAID configuration

I've watched that tutorial already, but I said that I wanted to do it from the BIOS instead, because it would allow me to set up more than one raid array using those two drives.

Putting two SSD's into a RAID configuration

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H board 2 x OCZ Agility 3's If I switch from AHCI to RAID inside the UEFI, the drives aren't picked up inside the installer, so I can't change anything with the drives from disk utility. If I switch to AHCI, then go back to disk utility, they are picked up like normal. I...

Fist Hackintosh Build - Hardware Compatibility Check

Oh my gosh, you're right. I assumed that the i7 you chose was 1155, but i was wrong.... Use this board instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128562&Tpk=GA-X79-UP4 I would use an nvidia card just for the sake of being easy to set up. Use the board that I...
