Using my 9800GT 512 makes my CPU go into overload

No problem. :D That noise is your video card doing its' processing. Although your machine shouldn't slow down with those specs...not sure the problem. Sounds like it could be software related.

Using my 9800GT 512 makes my CPU go into overload

OS X sees all 8 threads as 100% each and therefore reports CPU usage as 800% total. So 125% is like using up to 1 1/4 threads of activity...or approximately 10-20%. 8-)

    Slaughter House

Slaughter House Music production/Gaming rig. First, I'd like to thank tonymacx86 custom mod'ers and this thread for the inspiration. I was in the market for the perfect case when I came across this thing of beauty. I wanted something stylish, functional, quiet, and somewhat compact...

    Post Pics of your Hack!

Definitely an issue, 'major' possibly. Could be an issue with the ram modules (less likely) or could be a firmware problem. But AFAIK your system won't be dual channel unless they're in 'like' colored slots. If everything else pans out than you might want to RMA the board, if you still...

    Post Pics of your Hack!

Nice! Quick note...move 1 ram module from slot 2 to slot 3 (should be in slots 1&3 or 2&4). Also maybe some better cable management? :P

    Snow leopard retail DVD

Not that I'm judging anybody, but I just find it extremely funny when people try to justify breaking the law or circumnavigating it with excuses like "I'm forced to do this because Macs are way to expensive" and stuff like that. It's like saying "I can't afford a Ferrari so I'm going to take my...

so far no dice with iboot/multibeast (sort of solved)

Re: so far no dice with iboot/multibeast Look under graphics enablers, not ATI. Should be there. Otherwise you don't have the latest MB.

4 Days & Nights and still No Install

So you don't have Windows installed? That sounds like maybe another hard drive in your system...because that's what that icon is for, Chameleon is detecting a Win partition somewhere. Could be a USB flash drive or something of the like. I'm sure you're SSD is fine, well good luck and you will be...

    CMOS corrupt after using Mac

It sounds like your DSDT isn't working properly. Try installing the LegacyAppleRTC.kext from MB and you should be good.

    Help GA-EP45C-ds3r

So you're saying that in Disk Utility in the Installer that no HDD's are listed? Might be because you have an IDE hard drive. Also make sure you have AHCI enabled in BIOS.

    New Build: X58A-UD5 i7950 ATI5850 12GB

You could always type MAXMEM=4096 at boot screen for iBoot without having to physically remove the sticks. Once installed you'll have full access to Ram. Why would you need more than that to install it?

4 Days & Nights and still No Install

Your video card is definitely causing trouble, like humph said try -x to see if you can get to the desktop. If so then you can try adding your devid to the ATIRadeonX2000 kext in /S/L/E.

so far no dice with iboot/multibeast (sort of solved)

Re: so far no dice with iboot/multibeast  Very entertaining and informative post. First bit of advice I'd say, make sure when you install OS X that you unplug your Win7 hard drive, and vice versa. Next, with your video card requires 5xxx fix from multibeast and the Apple graphics...
