The Macbook has 10.6 but there is a software update but I can't seem to log into my network to get it. It keeps saying
the password is invalid and I KNOW IT IS NOT. Any clue on that? It says I need a WPA password, how is that different from the password that works with everything else connected...
I am starting a Hackintosh build from zero and do not have a Mac system to get the download of Mojave. Are there alternative ways to get Mojove and create the bootable drive?
Thanks
P.S. I have an old Macbook but I don't think that will work will it?
I'm building a Hackintosh but no longer have a mac to make the USB flash drive. Is there anyplace to purchase one? I have El Cap downloaded just no way to set it up.
Still having trouble with this. I have run Easybeast (a few times) but it's not making a bootable HDD. What options do i select in Easybeast? Attached is a image of what I get when I try to boot from the HDD after running EB.
Yep, all it really says to do is boot from the USB thumb drive as you know and that is how I have it. ....and checked to make sure it's still the same before I boot. I wouldn't think it would do anything to the thumb drive either, but something is going hay wire.
Thanks for the help, got to...
Will give it a try tomorrow night. BTW, I'm installing Lion and you guide is for Snow Leopard, does it matter? I have a download of Lion, no CD.
Thanks
Was that a misprint? I don't know what Kexts are?

Sorry but I am a newbie and you lost me, what is iboot? I booted with unitbeast to install the system and that is it, I haven't tried to boot with iboot.
OK, got past that issue, the boot record I guess was corrupt on the thumb drive and formatting it and reinstalling everything didn't seem to help. Used a new thumb drive and it went well ...to a point.
Issue 1) There is no dsdt for my MB, am I SOL are are there other options?
Issue 2) I have...
The is no dsdt listed for my Gigabyte (EP45-UD3P) MB. Is that THE END or are there other options? Also is the system bootable yet. I'm following he directions and it tells me to download Multibeast and the dsdt and as I said I don't have a dsdt. Can I make the system bootable with out the dsdt...
What do you mean by system, os? I'm trying to install Lion on a system with a gigabyte motherboard (EP45-UD3P). I had Snow Leopard on this same system at one time (another hard drive, doing a Lion clean install ...I hope anyway after I get past this issue). What BIOS settings, i have it set to...
I screwed up, when the install finished I rebooted without the thumb drive in as the DAAAA: next step tells me to do. Now when I try to boot from the thumb drive (I have tried wiping it and doing the thumb drive preparation steps again) it just hangs during boot at "Verifying DMI Pool...
