For the Multibeast setup, I used the exact setup here for both Lion and Snow Leopard: Picture is from here. Though mine is a GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard. Everything works, including sleep with the aluminum Apple keyboard.

I had the same issues until I swapped to the other DVI output. Use the top one (assuming your motherboard is oriented vertically in a tower case).

Weird thing I've noticed with my CustoMac Pro, is that I can wake from sleep using the spacebar on my Aluminum Apple Keyboard (which means that the USB is still ok at that point), but when it fully wakes up it can't see it.

Fixed mine when I swapped over to the other display output on the HD6870. Not sure why it worked with Leopard on that other output though, as I had the impression it was the first port.
