GA-Z68P-DS3 motherboard, i5- 2500 processor, 4gb of RAM atm, ATI HD 6870 graphics card. I am using 1 monitor through the DVI connection

I can currently install 1.6.3 using retail CD,
install update helper,
reboot using iboot,
install 1.6.8, and configure multibeast
reboot without iboot,

Then depending on the setting I select in multibeast it either will hang at the apple boot screen or it will start booting and then my monitor will go to sleep even though the computer is still on.

Would be most grateful if you could help

I had the same issues until I swapped to the other DVI output. Use the top one (assuming your motherboard is oriented vertically in a tower case).

Ok, I'll give that a shot, what options did you select when using multibeast?

Thanks that worked nicely... ish

I can now manage to boot properly, but i have to boot using -x into safe mode, then it boots but the screen goes completely white, then i can put it into sleep and when i wake it i can log on. I dont know why it works but it works.

So at the moment I have issues booting properly, although i can boot.
I have no audio,
No USB connectivity
I can load some graphics things but not others. I cant use youtube for example.

Other than that working well :)
I am at least making progress, and it feels good
Any help with other issues would be much much appreciated

For the Multibeast setup, I used the exact setup here for both Lion and Snow Leopard:

Picture is from here.

Though mine is a GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard. Everything works, including sleep with the aluminum Apple keyboard.
