I also have a RAM problem with the Asus Z170-P. I cannot put any RAM in slots DIM_A1 and DIM_A2. If I do then the computer appears to start but with no video. I think this is a problem with these Z170 Boards as I have just watched a video of somebody with a Z710-P D3 ) with exactly the...

KP after 10.8.2 update - cant boot to safe mode

I agree. I always create a new 'Hackintosh Recovery Partition" with an OS X minimum install just for situations like this. I only apply updates to it when I am certain they are fully functional.

    OS X 10.8.1 Update

Article: OS X 10.8.1 Update It panic was related to SyncMate so I uninstalled it. I had replaced AppleAHCIPort.kext and IOAHCIFamily.kext with the ones from Lion as I was experiencing really slow boot times. It appears that 10.8.1 does not like the Lion versions of these kexts. I...

I can confirm that both solutions enable a successful boot into the ML installation program: 1. Connnecting the Intel built in graphics (i3, i5, i7) to your monitor and then running the Mountain Lion Installation 2. Using the HD 6870 but removing the ATI6000Controller.kext from the...

    White Screen on installer

I have the same problem but a different motherboard and processor (GA-Z68XP-UD4 and i7 Sandy bridge). I think it could be down to Graphics card support in the installer as I have the same one as you. I may try and boot connected to the built in HD3000 graphics.

Official CustoMac Mini 2011 Guide and Notes (in progress)

All I did was copy the new DSDT to the EXTRA folder as DSDT.aml (no need to run Multibeast) and then flash the bios. After flashing the BIOS did reset to the default settings so I had to boot into the BIOS and correct them i.e HPET 64 bit mode, SATA to AHCI mode.
