No, didn't fix the issue. However besides getting this message on login the rest of the system works absolutely fine. And it only happens after a shutdown/reboot to which I normally sleep my computer and so I barely ever see this error message. I have only sleep my computer for last 2 weeks...
Ok, So I have made progress and stopped the USB HUB 2.0 kernel panic on shutdown. I found out it is the GenericUSBXHCI.kext v1.2.11 causing the problem. Now I have somehow got a version of GenericUSBXHCI.kext that says its v1.3.0b2 but installing it into /Library/Extensions or into Clover...
Thanks for your help P1LGRIM but unfortunately still same problem. See attached pic 1.
But here is something interesting maybe. As mentioned I tried changing the SMBIOS to iMac 13.1 and have left it like that. Yet the details dump by macOS says I have boot flag -xcpm which is not true...
Hi All,
I have had an issue for last 2 days that I cant get on top of since upgrading from Sierra 10.12.6 to High Sierra 10.13.2.
Every time I log in I get 2 error messages;
1) "Your computer was shutdown because of a problem" (with the 60sec count down to reopen apps or cancel)
2) and a "Your...
Nope. Not yet. I still think it's the game itself. When looking at the console logs the are a lot of errors to do with thread management on the CPU. To many wake ups per second. But then it's not the only app that does it (e.g Google Chrome). So if it's not the game need to think what is it...
Well that's interesting!!! I opened the F1 2016 game loader menu/screen that I guess is made by Feral Interactive (see atched screen shot). I just left it there, did not load the game and then after about 15mins it crashed! So now I have a crash log to investigate and looks even more like its...
I get exact same issue as Qwertyu55 except I am running Nvidia GTX 970 on hackntosh macOS 10.12.5. So based on Qwertyu55 comments I am thinking it must be the game, not the video drivers.
What version of F1 2016 is everybody running? I'm on v1.0. Notice that there is v1.0.1.
Thanks. I understand. Just explaining how a FakeSMC.kext ended up in my /S/L/E folder.
So no attachments in my first post? I see them attached. Maybe not showing for public?
Thanks!
Yes I noticed in last macOS version that they seem to move to /L/E to keep things isolated from the core system install I assume. Finding a FakeSMC in my /S/L/E just shows how long I have been upgrading vs fresh install.
I have updated my first post attaching the ioreg file. I also...
Ok I found an old FakeSMC in /S/L/E and removed it. So not seeing FakeSMC conflicts anymore like in the attached verbose mode.
Rebooted and then it hangs at [PCI configuration]. SO I went and enabled npci=3000 in config as I used to have this setting enabled pre-sierra. Now it hangs on same...
It must be otherwise I would have had kernel panic on boot when trying Mac Pro 5,1 since I have kext patch for AppleTyMCEDriver.kext in Clover configuration.
Plus I have custom edit boot menu entries that works with the titles I give it. So it must be loaded.
What do you find is wrong with...
Hi Everyone,
I'm absolutely stuck with an issue I started having since moving to macOS Sierra and reaching out for help. I upgraded to Sierra 10.12.0 back in Dec 2016 (or Jan 2017) and since moving to Sierra my wake from sleep is broken. I'm currently on Sierra 10.12.5. Same issue.
My build...
I have the same issue where I put PC to sleep which works but when I go to wake the PC it goes into the power on for 5 sec then power off loop and never actually wake to a desktop. Jsut hear the lights and fan going on and off in a constant loop for ever. I tried I was on iMac 12,2 then...
Did you find out the problem? I went to use parallels (and tried virtualbox) today for first time in a while only to find virtualization no longer working. Only thing that really changed is that I updated El Capitan from 10.11.3 to 10.11.5
Well my system is completely stable now it seems running 10.7.3 with a Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti card.
Solution was to make DSDT edits to inject the nvidia details and thus disable GraphicsEnabler kernel flag. I was being lazy not doing DSDT edits but in the end I had to go back to DSDT way in order...
I am having the exact same issue. Driving me crazy! I had managed to get it more stable editing the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext like mention on a number of posts but eventually when I left me PC for ages and it finally want to go to sleep mode (as least the monitor) it locks/freezes...
Just a FYI: I get the same usb disconnect and usb not waking issues on the gigabyte H61m mobo. I posted a dsdt edit as a first attempt from something I saw on another site to get the usb devices to wake up (just with a 15sec delay although solvable by removing the bluetooth dongle). Note this...
