Update on the power failure. I had an RMA from corsair and they sent out a new PS, which seemed to fix the issue fr a short while, until it went back to shutting off. I then changed the cooler to the Corsair H80i and that has fixed the issue completely, the CPU packages are not getting too...

No, I had a faulty power supply so I sent it back to Corsair and they replaced it. Seems to be fine now. I have crashes in prem but it’s just because it’s crap. Such a buggy NLE which is a shame as it’s nice to use when it works.

Hi, Thanks for the info. I did this and it seems to be running fine. I also notice that inject Nvidia was checked under graphics, so I un-checked it and the lag seems to have disappeared since I updated to 10.13.4 and installed the latest drivers. :)

Yeah I'm not sure that selling the 1070 will be my first choice, but I'll wipe and install sierra and see where that takes me. If I have the same issue then it will be the solution. But it appears the issue is somehow linked with high sierra, which I hate anyway.
