[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Edited. Will the KP during boot be related to kexts in S/L/E & L/E? If yes then how to boot without kext cache? Thanks

Attached and fixed as requested, thanks. * Open in new window will show the original orientation. Not sure why the preview is rotated 90 deg anti-clkwised.

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Added entries as required, but still KP. I cannot see words like "minStolenSize" so I think the framebuffer issue is solved and KP is caused by sth else that I don't know. Quoted from KP: CPU 0 panic trap number 0xe. rip 0xffffff7f91fd7b1e Generation from SMC report as 2 AppleLPC start - RCBA...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hello all, Recently I have updated to Mojave. However on first boot KP occurs. I found out that framebuffer was the issue, then I booted with invalid ig-platform-id successfully. I started fixing the framebuffer issue then. By reading here...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hello, Recently I updated my Clover and some SSDT files, kexts from darkvoid and have the following issues: - Audio not working (Worked fine before the update) - Touchpad not working (Worked fine before the update), if I rolled back to my backup Clover, it works again. AppleALC, AppleHDA and...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Here you go: One more thing I forgot to mention about the symptom: If I switch on WiFi, almost everything is broken. I cannot even shut down my laptop. It get stuck at the loading icon, not sure whether it is macOS or Clover... Debug file at #191

Moved FakePCIID and FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi to /L/E, problem still exists.

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

I removed both but the problem still exists (since it suppose to be natively supported). ---- EDIT: I installed FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi again only and generate the following debug files.

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

(Posted in Dell XPS 13 9360 guide before, repost here to get more attention) I swap the WiFi card to DW1820A on my Dell XPS 13 9360, no KP on boot but when I switch on WiFi, there is the problem: - SysPref Network Panel freezes - SysInfo/WiFi also freezes - Unable to save files I was told...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

No idea what stacktrace is (I'm a noob); kernel log included inside my zip (#2149) I purchased DW1820A because of here (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/broadcom-wifi-bluetooth-guide.242423/) (and it is way cheaper than DW1560, nearly half of the price) It states "native WiFi" for DW1820A. I...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Not sure what's going on but I tried the patchmatic output from gen_debug, executed iasl -da -dl *.aml and it disassembled just fine. Of course, WiFi still doesn't work: Network panel freezes if I either have WiFi on the left side or WiFi enabled Attached debug zip from gen_debug with WiFi...

I don't quite understand that. That means I should edit some of the ACPI entries in my config.plist?

I cannot save IOReg with WiFi card enabled and I mentioned it already at #2131. IORegistryExplorer just freezes. Occasionally I can see the WiFi card details in SysInfo but not now, weird. Nevermind, thanks for your info!

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Oh I forgot to apply darkvoid's config.plist after I applied the SSDT patch, fixed now. However the WiFi problem still exists, same problem: SysPref=>Network freezes. Did not apply BrcmPatchRAM2 (as it will cause infinite loop of "not responding" as in #2105) and BrcmFirmwareRepo Attached...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I don't have access to the internet, gen_debug.sh requires internet connection. - Patchmatic is already there (#2131) - IOReg: I can't save it because IORegistryExplorer freezes when I click "save copy as", maybe I can do so by disabling WiFi card in BIOS but the IOReg result would be useless...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I solved the KP myself. I boot with an invalid id and then rebuild the kext cache. But there is another problem: - Occasionally SysPref -> Network shows WiFi but cannot turn it on. SysInfo shows WiFi as AirPort Extreme (which I think is correct). - Most of the time, SysPref -> Network freezes...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Basically HS does not boot and the kernel panics after I installed the new DW1820A Wifi-BT Card. I got BrcmPatchRAM2 not responding for the first time. I removed several kexts related to Broadcom Wifi and then KP. Clover.zip and two screenshots are attached. One is the "not responding"...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hi me again, I just get my DW1820A on my laptop. It works fine under Windows, but not in HS. - The first time I boot HS: Brcmpatchram2 keeps showing "not responding" in verbose mode, stuck in logo when booting normally. - Second time: I removed Brcmpatchram2 and other kext related to Broadcom...
