I'm running a virtual machine off of my USB 3.0 external drive with the patched LaCie kext (from multibeast), and about 1-5 minutes after I connect it, it'll randomly disconnect itself and crash my virtual system. :cry:
When I use USB 2.0 with the virtual system it works but USB 2.0...
I have the same problem, I'm trying to run a virtual machine off a USB 3.0 external and it'll just randomly disconnect. It works fine on usb 2.0 but its soooooooooooo slow.
Can anyone help us? or has a fix for it?
Alright im rly starting to lose it,
After installing 10.6.3 with iboot from the cd, and i boot in i can boot in successfully (with the whole mac opening video, sound is terrible tho) but when i try booting in again it freezes, no kernal panic or nothing just freezes, so i verbosed and it shows...

YES!!! I held down the power button until it shut off and when it booted up i heard repeating beeps (bios code: no memory which is good because no memory is in!). Now to slowly put things back and see what happens... I may have broken the loop.
I recently got a new build in the mail:
Intel i7-2600k
Ga-z68xp-ud3
Thermal take chaser mk-1 case
128gb sata 3 petrol sdd
16gb ddr3 ram
Gtx 480
850w psu
And a 24x cd/dv read/writer,
Anyways i put it all together and booted it up, all leds and cou fan worked fine, then 3-7 secs later it shut...
If u have bought it, there are some sites other than tonymac that give out pre made dsdt's, I can't remember some of the names of the sites, but I'm sure if u google premade dsdt's your sure to find something on it.

Thanks... I'm just having trouble using iBoot to boot it up, none of my friends have a mac so I'm kinda screwed until i get my Apple Lion USB.
