OpenCore Boot Stuck at OC: Connecting Drivers...

OpenCore Boot Stuck at OC: Connecting Drivers... I have been trying to swap over to OpenCore from Clover for the past two days and I am starting to lose patience. I can't get the USB to boot with a clean formatted SSD installed. SSD is formatted to APFS. Another thread said to try OC 0.6.1 so...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Yes the new AppleALC update breaks audio. Also the new VoodooPS2Controller update stops the physical buttons working? Mine are no longer working. However, the touchpad is now working much better, multitouch gestures are working well now and the pointer doesn't stutter anymore. Is there a way to...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

It was a bad battery. I got a new 6 cell battery and it all seems to be working fine now. No more shutting down when I move the laptop.

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Yeah it switches off in the bios too so I guess it’s the connections. I’ve ordered a new battery so hopefully it is a problem with the battery itself and not the motherboard connections. Do you have any battery monitoring or control in the bios? On v2.36 there isn’t anything even to check the...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

After doing some testing I am having more issues with the external battery. Does anyone else have any issues with the external battery with macOS and the t440s? Does removing and reinserting the battery while the laptop is on work for anyone? I can get the external battery to work and be...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I seem to be learning quite a lot about this machine. I noticed the computer started up fine by plugging in the power adaptor with the internal battery and CMOS battery unplugged. I then plugged/unplugged the internal battery and CMOS battery a few times and everything booted fine. It has also...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I unplugged the CMOS battery and tried the same procedure but still not turning on. I'm not convinced that it is a hardware issue since everything was working fine until I've started meddling with it. Is there anything that can be done to repair a corrupted BIOS?

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Okay I just tried that and now the laptop won't boot at all? The power button flashes 3 times when the adaptor is inserted but there is no life.

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I have another curious problem that I am unable to fix for the moment. I noticed that the battery wasn't charging and when removing the power cord the computer shuts off. It seems that it is unable to boot or charge with the external battery attached. After it crashed the first time I got a...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Hi, I got myself a new wifi card and just tried to downgrade the BIOS in Windows 10 from V2.51 to V2.36 using the guide without any success. Can anyone confirm that this still works? When running the command it opens a new window and then closes again shortly after without doing anything. Any...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Thank you very much. Replacing the kexts with FakeSMC did the trick. I can now see all the temperature data. Now just need to get a compatible wifi card and probably a new battery! What's the difference between VirtualSMC and FakeSMC? Is one any better than the other? Kind regards, Argie

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

First off I want to thank you for this excellent guide. I got my 100 euro T440s up and running with a fresh install of Catalina in about 30mins. Amazing. I am typing this now on the Lenovo. Everything seems to be working perfectly, however, I can't see any temperature data in iStat Menus. Is...

<< Solved >> No screen even on startup!

Thank you very much this worked. Removed the motherboard battery and cleared the CMOS. Reconfigured the motherboard settings, booted back up into clover and completed the installation. Now updated to 10.14.4. Wonder why this happened? Maybe I should have waited longer after the screen went off...

Majove 10.14.4 Update Causes Black Screen

While updating to 10.14.4 my screen went off. I left it for about 30mins and nothing. I turned off the computer and turned it back on and now the screen won't even display the motherboard splash screen. What has happened? I've never had this problem before. I can't even get back into anything to...

<< Solved >> No screen even on startup!

I am having a slight (major) problem. While updating to 10.14.4 the screen went off someway through the update and never came back on again. I waited 30 mins and nothing. I turned the computer off and started it again and even the motherboard screen won't come on. The screen works fine I...

Power Mac G4 Cube Intel Reloaded Edition - my 2nd Hackintosh Case Mod

Hi MacTester, Sorry to revive an old thread. I noticed that you are using a Sony BC-5600S Blu Ray drive in this cube build? Does yours work out of the box and is it still working in Mojave? I recently picked one up (Sony BC-5600S) but it doesn't seem to work with my build. It shows in System...

    Cube Switch Modding

I'll give it a go using some different motherboard pins. I hadn't tried the USB ground pin. Hopefully it's not a bad sensor board..

    Cube Switch Modding

Boot loops in both polarities. Connected the correct way according to the pinouts I get the LED shinning brightly and boot looping. The reverse polarity gives a very dim LED and a very odd sounding boot loop.
