Yes, I did a clean install of Catalina and added the family kext. That got my wifi working and when I upgraded to Big Sur, wifi is still working.

I used the files from the person's link - it DLs a folder with the kexts inside. Place those in your kext folder and then add the lines to your config file to enable them. Good luck!

Thanks for this! Just got done upgrading mobo/CPU after prior one died and was really not wanting to change out wifi. Added 2 kexts and adjusted config file - wifi working perfectly on Big Sur!

Thanks for the suggestion on mATX - I’m certainly leaning that way, unfortunately. As for OS, a program I use for work wouldn’t update any longer on High Sierra so was needing to update, and I’m not too worried about the OS but would prefer Big Sur to avoid updating for quite some time.

I could be wrong, but I think the issue you're going to have is that your mobo knows that you have a graphics card installed, so it's going to use it for display when it boots either Mac or Win. So you'd have to disable the gfx card in your BIOS settings to swap from igfx to gfx card and back...

I tried doing a direct update and when I boot to the MacOS Install, it loads about 90% and then hangs. Any ideas? ETA: I've added my verbose results

Strange - I don't have 10.12.5 available as an update...

I was able to solve my issue by using MultiBeast and then reinstalling the audio clover all 120 command. Hopefully that helps!

I fixed it - I reinstalled the kexts from MultiBeast and audio is back up and functional.

Lost audio in the update. Tried the previous method of mounting EFI and running ALC120 command to no benefit. Looking for solutions as audio jack isn't listed any longer.

So somewhere in the process I blew up my audio lol. So I rebuilt things. This is a lot of effort for a low quality (at best) card. Thanks for the input guys, and I've learned ALOT from this, even if we didn't get it working. Hopefully the work will be fruitful when I get a card worth fighting for!

Took out the iGPU config and no progress... glad to hear it's not an iD10T error. Perhaps I should water my computer... ETA: So I saw in another thread that enabling Vbios worked for some... but not for me. In fact, with Inject ATI enabled, as well, the typical apple logo at boot up went away...
