I went with the Antec Three Hundred case. Grab some cheap case fans for the side and front to blow air in. Also invest in a better cpu cooler because the stock one isn't very good.
I just use basic audio and its fine for me, not sure about your needs though.
This is the only guide i found for separate hard drives:
Using Chameleon as your bootloader, you can boot an infinite amount of operating systems on your PC. It's simple to use a separate hard drive for each operating system.
Install multiple operating systems on separate hard drives.
Go to...
I used version 10.6.3 and I think you should try using a newer version. Since you partitioned your HDD to under 1TB, I think this could be the only problem. All of the Snow Leopard discs for sale now are 10.6.3, but I am not sure if you can return it if that doesn't work.
I read that the snow leopard you are using you had from when it first came out. Do you know which version it is? I can't remember where I read it but if its before a certain version iBoot may not work with it. If I find the link I will post it.
I would just put one 4gb of ram in the correct slot. I believe it has to be in slot 1 or 3 but refer to the manual. Try burning another copy of iBoot with a good iso burner because mine didn't work the first time I tried it. If you still can't figure it out, you can try this guide...
Yes that is the exact same one! All those parts are fine to change, as long as you have enough wattage on your PSU. *Also a quick reminder: Once you connect everything to your motherboard, make sure you connect both power supply lines from the PSU to your motherboard! I forgot the smaller one...
The install should work fine with 10.6.5, but since you didn't complete the installation I suggest you start from the beginning. Since you are supposed to install the update and Multibeast before restarting it is not going to work the way you did it. Those steps are to finalize the hackintosh...
Glad I could help. It was the same for me and it turned out great with all the help on this forum. Let me know if there are any other questions you have!
After asking Notshy who uses the same graphics card he said that was the newest way to install the card for 64-bit. So i chose the 64 Bit...
1. Following Lnx2mac's BIOS guide he suggests to turn all those features on so they do not disable when making other adjustments. It is not a completely necessary step, but I did it just in case.
2. I run my memory at 1066 although under about my mac it says its running at 1333mhz, but I never...
Sorry, but I do not have a microphone to test it out. One problem I am having now is when the computer sleeps my keyboard isn't working when it awakes. That is the only issue I have which I am looking for a solution. For now I just disabled sleep so its not the end of the world. If I find a...
I just built my new Hackintosh yesterday and it works perfectly. The installation was really easy and I will give a full tutorial below the specs.
(Copied directly from my order)
1. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev. 2.0 Bios FB (Upgraded to FE)...
So far these were the only specs I could find on the manufacturer's website. Not sure if these are the specs that help:
Tested Voltage 1.5
SPD Voltage 1.5
Speed Rating PC3-10600 (1333MHz)
SPD Speed 1066Mhz
Tested Speed 1333Mhz
Tested Latency 9-9-9-24
SPD Latency 7-7-7-20
The RAM from what I...
If I am using a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R Motherboard and CORSAIR XMS3 12GB (6 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1333 Model HX3X12G1333C9 Ram, will I have to make changes to the ram settings like you did? Or is it only something to mess with if I am having stability issues with my system. I am currently building...
So if I was doing a fresh install with a Sapphire 5770, I would just have to use RC5 and 64bit Boot Screen in MultiBeast to get it to work correctly? Or do I do it the old way then follow these instructions?
