    Asus X299 - Catalina Support

Hi all, I'm in a real jam and I'm not sure exactly what I did wrong. I upgraded to Catalina on Friday and everything seemed to work. I then upgraded to 10.15.1 and now everything has gone wrong! I can boot my machine but I get no display at all after the verbose log. I can however screen share...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi @kgp, Oh my goodness, thanks so much for your help. I certainly didn't mean to incorrectly say I'd done something, I did indeed misread your initial post. Thank you so much for taking the time to actually format the USB kext for me, I get it now and it's working. This is my first hackintosh...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi KGP, Sorry to bother you but I'm having an issue with my hackintosh - it won't recognize USB external drives when I plug them into a USB 3 port. Have you ever seen this happen? I'm using the ASUS Prime X299 deluxe motherboard. I'm attaching my EFI folder which is based on your guide at on...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hey again @kgp, I have a (hopefully) quick question about step E.9.1.h in the guide (CPxx -> PRxx). I'm using the i9-9900x. Would you mind checking that I've gotten the cpxx_prxx replacement correct? The text file just shows the CPXX@y -> PRzz coding, I'll do the HEX conversion once I know it's...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hey @kgp, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for your guide, without which there's no way I would have been able to get a Hackintosh up and running! I got the X299 Deluxe, an i9-9900x, and an xfx Vega 56 so it was pretty straightforward to follow your instructions. Thanks so much for all...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Thank you so much kgp. I don't think I'm confident to delid a processor so I'll do a little more reading about the 9920x and the strix X299-e which is the board I was thinking of. Maybe the performance gain isn't worth it and I'll just go for the 7920x.

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi, sorry if this is a really basic question but I'm looking into buying the components to do this X299 build. I was just wondering if I have to stick to the 7900x series (specifically 7920x) or can I go with the 9920x and follow the guide? Thanks!

    Any advice on this build

One more question, turns out the graphics card isn't available here in the UK yet. I was looking at the XFX HD 6870 black edition (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-xfx- ... i-hdmi-mdp) - would this be compatible? I really want a card with a mdp just incase I get an apple 27" monitor...

    Any advice on this build

Thanks for the confirmation. I was looking at ssds and it's definitely something I will consider. The crucial m4s look pretty sweet - maybe a 128gb one...

    Any advice on this build

Hi all, this is my first post as I have been deciding between a hackintosh and an iMac and am now pretty sure a hackintosh is the way I want to go. I have read the custombuild sandy bridge machines and have made a mix between builds 3 and 4 with a few changes as some of the parts I couldn't find...
