For all of you that are wondering why there's no config and EFI.zip file, go ahead and ask the moderator that keeps erasing them each time I try to share them. I'm the one that is tired of uploading it so someone can delete it.
The files were available. Someone removed them from the original post - admin or moderator. I can't upload it because I can't find a copy and I sold that computer a while ago... I'll lookout for personal copies of them. If I find them, I'll re-upload them..
Awesome work! Do you have any issues when booting? Like, any delay due to spaceman_trim ?
I have an Samsung 970 NVMe M.2 on my VivoBook (identical specs: i7-8565U, 8GB DDR4 2400MHz, UHD620) and it's currently booting in ~30Sec. It hangs around 14 seconds on a process named spaceman_trim. I...
Yes I did. I found another someone in other hackintosh forum and they patched the DSDT for this specific model. Can’t say names through (rules of this forum)
I tried to follow the Post's description. Didn't work at all. I always ended up getting stuck in Terminal with this error
So, I followed @Fatbike 's work [Post #2]. And it worked like a charm
Now I only have to change the Mac Name and the CPU Info
Then how do I patch the backlight without those Kexts?
NVMe is a Samsung 970 EVO
Edit: All disks are now fully working. AHCI wasn't enabled... :banghead:
@Feartech I think I found out what was messing with the backlight and with the graphics overall. I disabled “Inject Intel” and everything is working except the NVMe . It stopped being detected on the Disk Utility but is detected in Windows and in Clover. I'm using these Drivers and Kexts...
I'm not really into flashing a brand new laptop - doesn't even have a week old. If something happens there's no warranty to cover that...
I attached my whole EFI Folder. I think that with these patches it's worse then it was previously...
Verbose gets stuck here:
This is what I have under...
@Feartech I really need your help. Can you see anything useful in the ioreg file from post #50?
I didn't touch the Clover Bootloader at all since I sucessefully installed macOS and now I can't boot it again. It's stuck on the Apple Logo
Right now I'm following this guide...
Yes. You told me to generate a System Report File using that tool. I can't do it due to lack of internet connectivity
Edit #1 - I will try (again) to generate 'Proper Problem Reporting Files'
@Feartech I assumed that the macOS was somehow corrupted. I reinstalled again the macOS successfully using the config attached below. I was able to get a IORegistry file from the laptop.
I tried to run install_tools but it was always failing due to no Internet Connectivity. Then I looked for...
When using the spoof config the progress bar is more advanced then using the normal config. The image you see is with the spoof. Both of them freeze. Tried safe mode. Same thing.
The one from the laptop guide Injects ATI and NVIDIA when not needed. The spoof doesn't work either.
I tried to boot with verbose. Last thing it logs before blacking out and freezing:
I tried to boot using EFI v4. Got backlight but couldn't past this:
EFI v6 (the one I used to install macOS...
Can't find any m.2 extension flat cable for sale. Even if I find it and like you said, I would still have to
I guess I'll have to risk and buy the BCM4352Z from eBay :|
On the left I have my BCM4352HMB Combo Card. It uses PCI-E.
Oh the right I have my laptop’s stock Intel WiFi Combo Card (uses M.2 2230).
Meaning that I’m screwed with the combo card for this laptop. Anyone got a recommended M.2 Wi-Fi Combo Card? Everything but the BCM4352Z (DW1560) because if I...
So.... I was able to successfully install macOS 10.14.4. No errors whatsoever.
Intel UHD 620 working 100%, laptop camera was detected as well.
Things that I might need help to deal with:
- LCD Backlight
- Trackpad and Keyboard
- Ethernet
- Audio (Onboard and Headphone Jack)
I’ll start with by...
