Ok I booted Ubuntu from USB and the keyboard backlighting is lit, but not blinking on and off. The keyboard backlighting on OS X is blinking.

I've never tried to run Linux on any machine before. I use the laptop strictly for work with OS X.

I only run OS X on it.

My keyboard backlighting just flashes on and off constantly. I've searched high and low but cannot find a way to totally disable the keyboard backlighting. There is a native tool that I could use to do it if I were running Windows. Any suggestions?

After installing the Deamon the touchpad still works, but it made my bluetooth mouse stop working. So I uninstalled the Daemon and now the mouse works again and the touchpad is still working as well.
