Dear All,
Good day everyone! Been a while since I made my first hackintosh; didn't pursue since I needed the tablet (Windows) for work. Got some free time and decided to put together some old hardware to try out OpenCore.
USB Installer is based on OpenCore 6.6, Big Sur 11.2. Installer went...
Dummy was generated from AppleHDA Patcher v1.8. Quite sure I got the Codec correct according to the codec_dump generated from Linux.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Both AppleALC and AppleHDA patcher didn't work for me. If you could please, suggest something I can try?
Thanks and regards...
Extracted a fresh new vanilla AppleHDA from installer, installed it to S/L/E with Kext Wizard, rebuilt kextcache.
Please see files attached. Sound is still not working through the speakers.
Tried AppleHDAPatcher.
Applied KextToPatch from MironeAudio folder, aDummyHDA in S/L/E, injected layout-id 3 in Clover/Devices/Audio. Still no luck.
Even extracted a vanilla AppleHDA using Pacifist just to be sure.
Kinda lost now. I wonder what broke. AppleALC worked flawlessly in Sierra...
Ok, FakePCIID + FakePCIID_Intel_HDMO_Audio didn't work for me. Same issue, only works with headphones.
Have not tried CodecCommander, not sure how to apply that kext.
Hihi Rehabman, thanks for replying.
Yes. Both AppleALC and Lilu are v1.20, latest on vit9696’s Github, as attached in my earlier post. Not sure whats wrong. Would really appreciate your help please.
Thank you!

Thank you for reading my thread.
I've followed jhax01's thread and successfully installed Sierra on my laptop. Everything was working including the speakers.
However, I lost my speakers and mic after upgrading to High Sierra (HS). I'm using AppleALC and all I had to do in Sierra was to inject...
Appreciate your support and commitment to continue building this thread jhax01.
Sad to learn that you don't have your G1 anymore, but I still look forward to your High Sierra thread in the very near future.
Thanks again for all the help you've rendered.
Best Regards,
Bubu
Thanks for your kext jhax01.
I found out what went wrong. I've reassigned the keys for Control, Command and Option (I'm a Windows user, I remapped Command to Ctrl and stuff). Thats why the swipes weren't responding correctly.
Could you point me to the configs (ApplePS2Keyboard kext?) I need...
Thanks for your reply jhax01.
I didn't create the 4 and 5 fingers shortcuts, but the stock ones (3 fingers) are there as-is. But it isn't even recognising the 3 fingers.
Thanks and regards,
Bubu
Thanks for the link. I tried building from the branch you posted. But I'm still getting only single taps and 2 fingers scrolling. Is there anything that I could have missed?
Thanks and regards,
Bubu
Thank you jhax01. My apologies for the hiatus.
As advised, I've installed the kexts (except VoodooI2C) into s/l/e and removed them from 10.12 and Others (kept a copy of VoodooI2C). To play safe, I've also set the IOProbeScore to 9999 and moved the Apple I2Cs into a backup folder. Panic only a...
That definitely helped!
Thank you so much for putting together this guide jhax01.
What worked since my last post
1) I managed to fix Bluetooth. AirDrop works, have yet to try HandOff.
2) Microphone is working now. I managed to trigger Siri via "Dictation Keyword Phrase" (i.e.: "Hey" Siri).
3)...
Thank you RehabMan, that did the trick.
Need some help with the following, please...
Brightness / Keyboard
I've begin patching, used the patched files jhax01 provided, patched them using the MaciASL. But my brightness is still broken (the glare is killing me). Keyboard is not working either...
Hi Gurus,
I'm using the Elite X2 1012 G1 and successfully installed Sierra with this guide. However, it wouldn't boot without my USB.
I've installed Clover onto the SSD, used Kext Wizard to install all the Kexts onto the SSD, but when I reboot without USB, Clover does not recognises any...
