Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

The new version of my EFI, has been correct the GPU and fix other problem... and as soon as possible, native TB ;)
I visited your Github page, its a nice source of information for NUC10i5 users. i7 users will need to enable CPU Emulation. I thought I would post your Geekbench results from there and show how they compare to an NUC8 (although mine is an i7 graphics performance should be a valid comparison otherwise).

These are yours

Here's my NUC8 CPU scores, very similar to yours

Here are my graphics scores, almost double yours although it's the last generation it's the main reason I don't have an NUC10 anymore.

Can someone tell me the HDA controller device-ID? or better a Linux codec-dump of the NUC10. Thanks.

@Leesureone I also choose the NUC8 because of the poor graphics of the NUC10. Is there any reason other than the front USB-C port to buy the NUC10?

Sure, if you use windows or linux its a nice little machine.

Hi, guys!

I was out for recent time though every missed posts have been read (I hope).
I do updates of OpenCore (and kexts used) & MacOS regularly and I haven't experienced much troubles which could worth to mention.

The funny thing is that there are no any significant steps in making NUC10 more 'MacOS native' - I can't see audio improvement, there is still a lack of native framebuffer, no thunderbolt@startup improvements and sleep&wake issues and so far - I see no improvements for last year.

For me, as for HackMac beginner, it looks quite strange/ridiculous.
Is NUC so seldom thing to adapt or it's just there is not enough interest to 'finishly polish' NUC?
Like all system platforms, it just depends on how many people use them. If enough people have it and tinker with it I’m sure we’ll have an answer somewhere.

For the rest, you could try using the Comet Lake CPUIDs starting from Catalina 10.15.7. Afaik Comet Lake EC060800 now works/is supported as is the Intel UHD 620.

If you need the CML AAPL,ig-platform-id & device-id for the framebuffer try 0000CA9B or 0000CC9B & CA9B0000 or CC9B0000 respectively. Just remember to also add in the framebuffer-patch-enabled, framebuffer-fbmem, stolenmem & unifiedmem values.

For the audio since it is Intel audio chip only we can use FakePCIID Intel HD Audio kext for the time being.

Not sure about the Thunderbolt issues, but there is a Github page dedicated to the NUC where you should be able to enable the TB hotplug.

Now, i've update my EFI, that work super stabile.
TB work fine in HOTPLUG, and eGPU now is support.
iGPU is fixed, and now the audio are support for all port HDMI/TB/DP.

Let me know for any problems.

With video acceleration on iGPU or no? Looks like you still have to spoof the CPU so I'm guessing no.
