UniBeast: Install macOS High Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Hello,

I can reach the beginning of point 4, then I click on the external drive, then the Mac logo appears with a loading bar and after a few minutes, a circle with a cross on the inside is displayed and I can not do anything and I have to stop my laptop. Can someone help me?

Hi! I had the same problem.

I think you don't have access to the internet, so you can't get original mac os distributive. If you have wired internet, try to use it.

Or, try another way to create bootable USB

like there https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...h-sierra-public-beta-installation-usb.225520/

Hope it helps!

Strange happenings, doing a second run through on my original install media. Worked no issues. Did a wipe and during install all of a sudden I have no Internet. Latest UniBeast setup, seems to not be loading the interface kext. If I try and interface up in the terminal no interface is found. Any ideas? Use a older UniBeast besides 8.2?

Yeah there's definitely something broken in Unibeast 8.2.0, not loading kext file for interfaces. So no internet, ended up using 8.1.0 and that worked fine.

Success! Now running 10.13.3. Previously I was running 10.10.5

Used Unibeast 8.2.0 and 64 gb PNY USB2.0 drive. Had to make 2 partitions since Unibeast did not see the 64 gb usb drive with 1 partition. Once I figured that out and had the USB drive made, I had to reboot several times to have the NIC recognized so High Sierra could contact the recover server.

Installation took almost 4 hours, but it worked. I had to use a left mouse click to make the estimated time remaining update. Almost freaked out when I walked away for almost an hour and there was no updated estimated time remaining.

After installation, used Multibeast to install the Clover EFI. Added the standard Intel NIC, AC898 sound, etc kexts, installed and rebooted normally to the SSD.

Thanks for the great step by step tutorial tonymacx86!

Attempted to create a new Unibeast 10.13.4. Downloaded 13.4 from the App Store. Began the creation process with Unibeast 8.2. Chose the newly erased pen drive, clicked next... High Sierra choice was "greyed out". Checked in the Application folder to see if is there. It is not. The App Store shows that it has been downloaded and is ready to install onto my system drive. I've never had this problem with previous versions. The Install MacOS definitely did not run on the system drive. Restarted the system to see if the installer would appear in Applications folder, not there. I have "searched" the system for the installer and it is not anywhere. Any suggestions?

elfcake,
Same problem. Downloaded 13.4 last night from App Store. High Sierra disappeared off of my system just as the App Store said it was complete downloading and ready to install. Problems like that can be caused by "Data Collisions."

I have not heard of "data collision". I will research this. Hopefully, this is not an illegal scheme cooked up by evil doers? ;)

Is there a way to deal with this problem?
