This is where my love and praise for OSX stop. Today GPU power has taken as much importance as CPU, and even more in several cases. Half professionnals and gamers will like this and i don't understand why Apple is not reacting to this demand.
I have probably missed something...?
I temporarily switched off from Apple when they moved from PPC to Intel, because I didn't like that move at the time, when I was enjoying Tiger so much. So, I skipped Leopard completely, and moved to a Linux+Windows config (Linux for development and serious stuff, Windows for 100% file compatibility with Office users). One of the best points of the Mac is that it offers these two things in the same OS: great development possibilities -even better than Linux IMHO- with also 100% file compatibility of commonly used apps from Windows.

Then I moved back to Apple in the days of Snow Leopard, because I realized OS X was still far better than a Linux+Windows dual config.

But today, I feel again like it´s time to distance from Apple again, like I did years ago. Current Apple strategies are too risky for the Mac platform. I'm a developer, and I build multiplatform apps. I can keep MacOS compatibility even if I move to Linux, so that I can continue deploying Mac apps. But I'm not jumping into the bandwagon with Apple this time, because I need to see a real plan for the future, and Apple doesn't seem to have a plan.

I'm pretty close to ditching OSX now. Unless support comes for my Titan XP within a month. The onboard GPU simply isn't working properly and the screen keeps blacking out briefly over and over when interacting with the OSX and I can't fix it. If I ditch OSX on my hack then I am getting rid of my MacBooks also.

Thinking of the same... There are great pc laptop now , well designed. If i go to a PC for my main power working station, it's a little too much OS and Software management to do for myself while workign as a freelancer too if i have to maintain and update 2 different OS...

With regret, I can say that the next operating system for my build will be windows.
It's terrible, but it's inevitable. The path that apple chose - is a path of greedy moron :)

Still there are irreplaceable people
R.I.P. Steve

Good news! Because Nvidias CUDA 8 toolkit - which Supports Pascal as the Main Feature - is released (!) including Mac OS 10.11 and OS X 10.12 Support is a defintely a good signal, that there is a Pascal webdriver for Mac on its way.
