I have a mini here with a fresh install of mavericks and I want to buy yosemite (if I have to) to upgrade it so I can carry on with my Hackintosh. A MacMini with mavericks on it should qualify for an upgrade to yosemite shouldn't it? App store only allows me to d/l mavericks or ElCapitan, no...
I don't remember purchasing Mavericks but it's on the app store. (haven't they been free since mtn lion?)
I'd purchase yosemite right now (again or not) but there's no sign of it anywhere on the app store.
Hey there,
Not too involved with the forums as my Hackintosh, while missing features has been remarkably stable.
Alas my unibeast boot loader just crapped out and I need to make a new one. My old yosemite installer has been copied too much and I get the "incomplete installer" error when...
::SIGH::
So....Unhappy new hackintosher™ here.
I've followed instructions in this thread (and many others) for trying to get my dual monitors to work with GE=Yes to no avail. I wouldn't care except iOS devices are ignored and don't even charge with GE=No.
I read somewhere here it works with DVI...
I intended this thread to be over but....Bought an hdmi cable & have tried a few different frame buffers but I can't get the 2nd monitor to work with Graphics enabler=yes.
After a ton of reading here I find that hdmi doesn't work (?) and that the display port does.
Do I need to go buy another cable?
So....wiped & reinstalled. No idea what happened but I was dead in the water.
The machine is awesome again but....
Followed Gordo's instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=168&t=32306&start=0&hilit=Gigabyte+GA+Z68X+UD3H+B3+no+sound
Still have no sound :problem: (did the no sound multibeast follow...
After my initial install the machine was solid & fast with some functionality missing; dual monitor, audio, iTunes.
So I ran multibeast again. At first I just ran the audio stuff and it KPd on reboot. Let me boot up again and I got to run the full multibeast setup shown on the how-to...
Booted from USB again.
Repairing permissions I get a long string of:
Warning: SUID file "Path goes here" has been modified and will not be repaired
Probably 25+ different items with that warning
Still KPing
EDIT:
This thread's over: moving on to Lion support.
Thanks everyone
OK ran multibeast again. at first I just ran the audio stuff and it KPd on reboot. Let me boot up again and I got to run the full MB setup shown on the how-to page.....now I'm just kernel panicking.....booted from usb to repair disk to no avail.
Panics during boot grey screen/apple & pinwheel...
OK...couple stumbling blocks.....
