Does that mean it's not injecting FakeSMC too (and thus you can't get into OS X?) If so, I'm having this problem too, not sure when it started, but specifically, I get the following, fairly generic error message with -v which I presume is because it's not injecting FakeSMC?:
busy timeout [1]...
I hope it's okay to cross-post here, both El Capitan and Sierra are stuck for me at 12X 190 Baseclock = 2.28GHz vs. 4.37GHz in Win10. I've tried with or without Tonymac DSDT for my mobo/BIOS (EX58-UD5 / F13) with the same results.
I'm especially interested in users with Xeons in a Gigabyte...
Ever since installing Clover + El Capitan (from Chimera / Yosemite)...
My 10.11.x EX58 system now exhibits:
1. Low Geekbench 4 scores vs. 70% higher GB4 scores when dual-booting Windows 10
2. HWMonitor shows 12X CPU multipliers vs. 23X BIOS settings when dual-booting Windows 10
3. CPU Core...
I just discovered this and wanted to share. Clover wasn't seeing any drives attached to my Apricorn Velocity Solo X2 (currently the fastest SATA3 PCIe card for my x58 motherboard), which uses the Marvell 9182 controller. I then noticed this on the Clover Installation Wiki...
Perhaps update the Big List of Solutions with this?:
To boot with a Marvell SATA controller (such as the Marvell 9182 on a Apricorn Velocity Solo X2), I updated ("upgraded") Clover with CloverEFI>Clover EFI 64-bits BiosBlockIO. See attached screenshot. After Rebooting, Clover should now...
That did it! Everything works, including bluetooth audio with Bose Speaker. Thank you so much, toleda!
Two separate issues I found and fixed (in reverse order) that you might want to incorporate into your troubleshooting guide:
1. Check for existence of ALC8xxHDA.kext in S/L/E from previous...
Only BIOS mention of Audio is "Azalia Codec" which is set to AUTO (vs. DISABLED). From what I've read that's the only place in this BIOS to enable/disable on-board audio hardware.
Additionally, booting into Windows 7 sees the audio hardware just fine. Note I attached above (in #13) boot logs...
So sorry to be dim, but I can't determine which is the proper thread to post this. System Info shows No Audio Devices. Which thread is correct to post?
Sorry again.
Hi toleda--
Here's hoping you can help:
01. No audio output, no devices listed.
02. 10.11.5 using Clover Legacy Root Installation (with and without F12 DSDT.aml in CLOVER/ACPI/patched/--currently without -- wake from Sleep works fine) / GA-X58-UD5 / Bios F12 / Core i7 920 OC'ed 3.6GHz/ Nvidia...
Hey, onastvar, I have a similar motherboard/CPU (GA-X58-UD5 F12 BIOS + Core i7 920) and the only thing I can't get to work is Audio. I've tried MultiBeast 8.2.2 as well as audio_cl;overALC-110_v1.0r10 script and no go. No Audio Outputs or Inputs show up, and I can't get my Bose Bluetooth...
Anyone have any tips for my Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 (Award BIOS F12) to boot Chimera from a Samsung 850 Pro 512GB drive attached to the Apricorn Velocity Solo x2 SATA3 PCIe card? I can't boot from it, as the BIOS does not recognize the drive in the Boot Priority list, but once booted to another...
Any idea if this Syba SY-PEX30016 works well with a recent Z97 board?:
