Ever since installing Clover + El Capitan (from Chimera / Yosemite)...
My 10.11.x EX58 system now exhibits:
1. Low Geekbench 4 scores vs. 70% higher GB4 scores when dual-booting Windows 10
2. HWMonitor shows 12X CPU multipliers vs. 23X BIOS settings when dual-booting Windows 10
3. CPU Core temperatures are 7 degrees (C) hotter vs. Windows 10.
Strangely, though, when waking from sleep, El Capitan shows full 23X CPU multipliers, improved GB4 Scores (still 10% less than Win10), but even HIGHER CPU temperatures-- 20 degrees (C) higher than Win10!!!!
On this motherboard (GA-EX58-UD5), these symptoms happen in both BIOS + DSDT + RAM + CPU cases:
1. F12 BIOS + F12 DSDT from DSDT Database + 18GB RAM + Core i7 920 20X 177Bclk+Turbo=3.7GHz OC
2. F13 BIOS + F13 DSDT from DSDT Database + 24GB RAM + Xeon X5675 23X 190BClk=4.37GHz OC
BIOS is currently set as follows:
1. Intel Turbo Boost Tech. DISABLED
2. CPU C1E DISABLED
3. CPU C3/C6/C7 State Support DISABLED
4. CPU EIST DISABLED
Attached are screenshots of GeekBench4 Results + Temps + CPU Multipliers for:
1: Win10
2: ElCap from Boot
3. ElCap after Waking from Sleep
I'Also I've attached my config.plist in case that helps. Only kexts in 10.11 folder are latest 4 HWSensors + FakeSMC.kexts, realtekALC.kext. I've tried Product Names (Model Identifier): MacPro3,1; MacPro4,1; MacPro5,1 with the same results.
Any suggestions anyone? I know little about power management, have never used an SSDT, and just want the full speed 24/7 with low temps like Windows 10.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer,
-Phil
