    Did not help either, I was hoping that it would see the IDE drive and continue, but I was wrong I guess. PS For all you how are worried about my signature, I still have that rig and love it

    After a very successful installation on my Gigabyte computer I tried to install it on my Dell XPS 630i but all I get is the dreadful "Still waiting for root device" Dell has a very basic bios with hardly and adjustments. Any suggestions? Cheers

    Re: New ALC888 32/64-bit AppleHDA.kext! Got it to work :D it was the 10.6.2 IOUSBFamily.kext. I had some spotty USB connections and decided to reinstall 10.6.2 IOUSBFamily.kext and behold after reboot I had sound and great USB connections. Thank you Cheers

    iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC

    I tried the new version of MultiBeast to get my sound back, all that happen is that I now lost all my USB again except keyboard and mouse, no printer, no external UBS drive :wtf:

    Did download the new Multibeast 1.1 and selected Gigabeast for my MB and rebooted then I started Multibeast again and installed like the instruction "To fix, install 10.6.2 AppleHDA found in Advanced Options / Audio." Guess what? No sound :banghead: This is driving me crazy.

    Has there been any progress to get full function USB and Sound to work again after a 10.6.3 upgrade? I did upgrade my test/back up drive to v1.1 w/o any problem to see if that would do anything but it did not fix any my problems. :cry:
