Thanks for the hint. I corrected that. Im not using ssdtprgen anymore, as I get higher real life performance without it.

Here you go! My EFI Configuration is very conservative. You won't find any fancy settings ;) Please don't forget to adjust your VoodooTSync to correct amount of CPU cores.

Its Auto as Im not using Multi Core Enhancement. I read manual Voltage increases stability using MCE. If you find a good setting, please share :)

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hello everybody, just wanted to share my experience with 10.13.2. As for now, im really happy with my setup, finally. 10.13.2 mostly fixed my issues. GUI is much snappier (Window drag lag etc.) , no more allocation errors, everything works as expected (for me). Thank you KGP for your guide...

Long time no see everybody. I have good news: 10.13.2 seems to solve my USB related issues. No more allocation errors, even under stress situations. Happy capitalistic X-Mas !!! PS: Running Photos makes the computer crash from time to time... hate that app anyway!

What was your approach to enable sound? I didn't test the EFI settings from the Prime and used VoodooHDA.

I changed to Aorus 9 couple of days ago. My Geekbench is the same, but in DaVinci i have much higher render speeds in comparison to Asus. I didn't even improve BIOS Settings at all. Almost stock settings. Asus: 54 fps Gigabyte: 70-80 fps converting ProRes to H264. I don't use ssdtprgen anymore...

I think its a clover bug at the moment. I have this too with my NVME drive. So either you wait, or you just setup a standard boot drive in clover and skip the clover GUI. That way you come much faster to our all beloved Boot apple... ;) However, you can enter clover GUI by pressing any key while...

I don't remember which one of you had the issues with the USB sound card but I did some tests with two USB sound cards. So, as you all now, I test every USB device using Rember ;) and by the way: Neither am i bombing my ports while running this tool nor am I running any memory extensive...

rotoyouoio was right. The X299 Chipset produces RAM allocation Errors under High Sierra with certain USB devices. Thats maybe also the reason why some of you have issues with USB Midi devices, Sound Cards etc.. I bought a Gigabyte Aorus 9 (additionally to my ASUS X299 Prime Deluxe) to be 100 %...

Just to finnish my thought: As I wrote many pages before, I was able to use Sync all Cores without any issue. As per your description, you had some stability problems even directly after boot. Well, my Board was able to handle things well, but immediately crashed when using Prime. I didn't...

Hm, im wondering If the CPU is passing its TDP with Sync all Cores. I read that our CPU can easily reach 300 Watt when pushing all cores, even without overclocking. Maybe you got a faulty board and the sudden jump in ampere, in conjunction with your new very powerful PSU, fried it.
