[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Big Sur OpenCore

Has anyone gotten imessage to work correctly? I generated new serial numbers etc, but so far haven't been able to use it. I am able to login and it shows me the interface for a few seconds before kicking me back out to the login page.

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Big Sur OpenCore

I'm up and running, but one small thing to note. I'm on bios 1.19 and I had to change the cfg lock to 0 to disable it instead of 0x1. I did have another issue however with the post install. I'm trying to run the combojack installer, however there is an executable named bin in usr/local/ When I...

Thanks for the comprehensive guide. I was struggling with jardenliu's setup. For whatever reason I can't see the mac os installer when booting open core when using that EFI.

[Guide] Acer Swift 3 – macOS Sierra 10.12.2

I wanted to update on my progress. I have successfully updated to 10.12.5 without any issues. There was no follow up config that was needed for me at least. I also installed windows 10 alongside my OS X installation, and now have a fully functioning dual boot :)

Ok, so i have been getting a bit frustrated with the audio situation. I retried the OP's approach with appleALC and was able to get audio to work. Found out i had to install Lilu.kext in addition to AppleALC, but headphone audio is distorted much like this thread...

It is ALC255. I tried the native Apple ALC and had changed HDAS->HDEF in DSDT and in my config.plist with no audio at all. I then tried the patched AppleHDA which gave me sound, but the distorted audio after sleep.

Thanks Rehabman. I havent had a chance to dig into the bluetooth issue. Truthfully i don't exacly use BT too often on my laptop. My biggest current issue is still to do with audio. I have distortion occurring after the laptop wakes from sleep or if i boot with headphones plugged in. Any ideas? I...

I also noticed that my bluetooth will randomly stop being detected after sleep. I believe this is an issue with USB. Looking into patching my DSDT/SSDT for USB

OP = Original Poster For brightness control and HDMI audio you have to follow the OP's instructions and decompile your DSDT/SSDT files. Then using iASL and MacASL you apply the brightness control and audio patches. For my instance i had to apply the instant wake patches to allow the laptop to...
