I was unable to boot my machine after the update due to my graphics card (GeForce GTX 970). In order to resolve the issue I used the nv_disable=1 (clover) option and booted into the Mac OS X. I then installed the beta NVIDIA drivers and restarted. Everything was all good after that.

Morning Neil,
I made it to work this morning to test my Hackintosh and it still isn't working. My profile was misleading... I have 3 hackintoshes in total. The one with this funky audio problem has the following specs:
GIGABYTE GA-Z77N-WIFI + i7-3770K + CORSAIR Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB)...
I can't get back to my hackintosh until monday, but I logged in remotely via SSH and took care of the kexts. I'll try to reinstall using Multibeast 6.0.1
find /System/Library/Extensions -maxdepth 1 -iname 'hda*enab*.kext' -o -iname '*voodoo*hda*.kext' -o -iname 'applehda*.kext' -exec rm -rf...
I just wanted to give some feedback. I've been experiencing similar freezes ever since I replaced my GA-Z77X-UP5 TH motherboard with the GA-Z87X-UD5H. I know it has nothing to do with bad memory because I ONLY replaced the motherboard and cpu. Anyhow, I just pulled two of the 4 DIMMs and updated...
For those who stumble upon this thread... I ended up just doing it and it worked out well. I simply replaced the motherboard and cpu. Everything else is the same, even which sata port goes to which drive. This can be closed.
Move Software RAID from current Hackintosh to a new Hackintosh
Hi All,
I was wondering how easy is it to move a Mac OS X software RAID to a new Hackintosh. Will it automatically detect the software RAID and mount it or what? I should clarify that this software RAID is additional storage, it...

I suggest using newegg's excellent comparison tool to help make a decision: http://tinyurl.com/k4xw3er
It really comes down to the following:
- dual NICs
- dual HDMI ports
- 10 SATA ports
- 2 IEEE 1394a headers
I...
Thanks Niel.
OSX 10.9
MultiBeast - Mavericks 6.0.1
Unfortunately I don't have a clone backup :)
I think this is more of a deep mac issue than anything. I am 100% confident that If I installed from scratch it would be working. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas to reset the...
After I moved some crap around, I lost audio and I have tried using MultiBeast to get Audio back, but no matter what I do, I never see any devices in the System Preferences > Sound > Output area.

I used Multibeast 5.3.1 to install the audio drivers (without DSDT) and restarted my machine. At that point, I had no audio. I then attempted to reinstall the audio drivers (without DSDT) using Multibeast 5.5.1 and restarted my machine. Still no audio... :(
I guess I'm stuck without audio...
I JUST attempted to download the latest MultiBeast-Mountain-Lion-Edition-5.5.2 and reinstalled the ALC898 (Without DSDT) drivers and the problem persists.
I'm having the exact same problem and it started the same way.
1. Updated to 10.8.5 through the App Store, restarted machine.
2. On Sept 1st I downloaded MultiBeast-Mountain-Lion-Edition-5.5.0 and installed only the ALC898 (Without DSDT), restarted machine.
3. After that, shortly (3-6...
I found the cause and solution to the problem. When I ran the ssdtPRGen.app, it generated ~/Desktop/ssdt_pr.aml. Then after that, I ran Multibeast (with UserDSDT or DSDT-Free checked) it copied the ssdt_pr.aml from ~/Desktop/ssdt_pr.aml and put it to /Extra/DSDT.aml. For whatever reason, my...
