Upgrading to High Sierra while using FileVault

Has anyone successfully upgraded from macOS Sierra to macOS High Sierra with FileVault on? I tried, but I have some problems. After the installer prepares the installation and reboots for the first time, I am asked to enter my password as usual in the FileVault screen (I notice the new High...

Sleep/wake problems on Skylake - El Capitan 10.11.5

I'm mostly sure the problem isn't caused by the PCI-E card itself, but by the bluetooth USB header. After disconnecting it sleep works fine for me.

Hello there. I'm having the same exact problem as OP. Did you figure out how to solve it? Thank you. I'm running on an ASRock Z170 Extreme4 with a NVIDIA GTX 950 GPU.

Sleep/wake problems on Skylake - El Capitan 10.11.5

I see, that's exactly the card I bought, unfortunately I haven't found a solution. Out of curiosity, does wake work fine for you or does it end up in a reboot?

Sleep/wake problems on Skylake - El Capitan 10.11.5

Disabling "Allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer sleep" doesn't work for me. I am using the new Broadcom version BCM943602CS.

Sleep/wake problems on Skylake - El Capitan 10.11.5

Yep. Problem #1 was as simple as disconnecting the internal USB bluetooth card. I should have thought about that. However I need to find a solution: I really need bluetooth on my hackintosh, so I have to find out how to prevent the card from waking up the computer. Post updated.

Plans for my first (serious) Hackintosh

Well I have been uncertain for a good while about it, I also considered the SLI. At first, ASRock didn't look like a very good brand to me. However it seems like I was wrong: everyone is happy about it, the manufacturing is good, the materials are OK, so there is really no reason not to consider...

Plans for my first (serious) Hackintosh

Actually, the list was a bit outdated. In the meanwhile I changed my mind about the motherboard; I have updated the list now. So I guess I won't have to deal with that problem, sorry about that.

    Blank screen after boot

Hi. I have used iBoot to boot my PC from a Mac OS X 10.6 installation disk. The Apple logo and the spinning gear appear, and after about 20 seconds they disappear. At this point the OS should load, but it doesn't. I have already tried booting with these boot flags PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No...
