Gigabyte P55-UD3R no audio working *sort of fixed*

@SRR1138 any hints you can provide on getting to 10.6.8. I resorted to a clean install using latest (iBoot + MultiBeast) using Retail 10.6.0 DVD 10.6.8 combo update MultiBeast (UserDSDT for GA-P55-UD3R F8) 10.6.0 succeeded, but after 10.6.8 and MultiBeast, I cannot boot successfully. It is...

Problem with display colors after Hulu/Dim Lights

figured out the fix - and you are right, it seems not to be directly related to hulu, although it was an awfully well-timed coincidence that all my screen colors became inverted at exactly this time - System Preferences/Universal Access/Display/White on Black changes colors back to normal...

Problem with display colors after Hulu/Dim Lights

hoping to find a Mac guru's help on this one - After watching Hulu and using its "dim lights" feature, I mistakenly closed the browser without un-dimming the lights. Now I can't get my monitor colors back to normal (they are dimmed). A reboot gets me back to normal, but after sleep, all the...

    No sleep

thank you, that worked. I hadn't noticed the new BIOS. Apparently, F6 is a bad BIOS version for sleep functionality.

    No sleep

I thought that maybe MultiBeast 2.0.0 would make a difference for me, so I reinstalled everything yet again. Reporting back - still no sleep. Has anyone out there got sleep working with a GA-P55-UD3R and a Core i5-750 on 10.6.3 (Method: iBoot/MultiBeast 2.0.0/Retail SL 10.6 DVD/10.6.3 combo...

    No sleep

My DSDT matches my Gigabyte motherboard model GA-P55-UD3R. I am running BIOS F6. The DSDT comes from MultiBeast 1.1.1. The release notes for MultiBeast 1.1.0 indicate that the DSDT is for F6, so I think I am OK there. I did not see the sleep post before. I do have all the suggestions...

iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC

Tonymac - thank you for the help - it turns out that my problem was not the 1.5TB drive (which I had partitioned into two 750GB partitions. After several more days of banging my head and googling around other boards, I got the idea that it might be a hardware issue. I thought the most likely...

iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC

I am back with a different result, but not with a happy result. Just to be safe, I cleared my BIOS by loading optimized defaults and set all the options again for HPET=64, AHCI. I started from scratch on a blank hard drive, reformatted, installed Snow Leopard Retail DVD, applied 10.6.3 combo...

iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC

yes, smbios.plist (dated 3/30/2010) and com.apple.Boot.plist (dated 3/23/2010) and a DSDT (dated 3/20/2010) as well I reinstalled Chameleon, but same result. Would it help (or hurt) to reinstall 10.6.3 combo and then MultiBeast again?
