Update!: a found a new release for the web drivers for 10.10.3: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301416-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-yosemite/ this one installed properly, so now i'm restarting to try and properly install the cuda drivers, then i'll put my cards back in and try again...
