This may be helpful for some, but this means nothing to me. As I am already trying to use OpenCore and have a question about it.
Again, do I create an EFI folder on the new boot drive? If so, how? The EFI loader is an Mac App and MacOS is not loaded on the drive for the new machine.
Or does...
I am sorry, but I am completely lost here. I have not built a hackintosh for several years and it was through Clover.
Once I have the install disc created (I will be making a new one as I have used Clover to edit the current one) do I use an EFI loader to edit the EFI folder on the USB drive...
downlaoded opencore from the link in the installation guide and it does not contain an executable. Is there a bootloader for that?
Can't seem to find one in downloads
Went through all steps to create install disc again, but this time with the new Ventura.app downloaded from the Apple store.
Plugged into new hardware and clover comes up. Click on Install and screen goes black with a No symbol and and a apple support webpage.
Motherboard bios has Secure...
Fine, typo i5-12400 processor
The instructions point to this file: Clover-5151-X64.iso and calls it a bootloader. It is not the bootloader only the EFI file itself. The bootloader is available under the Downloads/Clover as Clover UEFI Boot Mode with Emulated NVRAM v2.5k r5102. Sadly not...
I am adding it to a new system so I signed up for the beta program and downloaded the beta.app. Used the instructions to create an install disc
If you mean which did I EFI I downloladed, I am trying to use Clover.
Yes, I get that I need to create a EFI folder. However, as I mentioned above (though not very clearly) when I downloaded the file from the link I got a zip file which expanded to an ISO file which contains an EFI and User folder and no executable that I can see. Is there another program I need...
Followed the instructions successfully (I think) down to
14. Install UEFI or Legacy Clover version using the USB (Install macOS Ventura beta) as the target.
The downloaded file is just an EFI and User folder. There is no install option. I copied them over to the USB but when I try to use it...
Finally got everything working. Scouring the forum hinted that older vid cards would no longer works. Purchased a small video card that works and the dual displays are working again. Also big thanks to moderate UtterDisbelief for help getting the USB installer to work.
I am running an older Gigabyte z97 and using the on board graphics card. Got everything working except cannot get the two displays in anything but mirror mode. One is DVI and the other HDMI. The Multibeast option for an intel video coffee lake fails creating a build. Is this an inherent problem...
Thanks, that got me to the install screen and I worked my way through that to getting a copy up and running. However, the display is not working properly. Cannot get the two screens to do anything but mirror. injecting intel at the Clover screen gets me to a basis video but not to multiple...
Still getting no where with this. I dug through the archives to find out you need to press the space bar to get to the clover menu. Set it to verbose and get exactly the same Apple icon to null sign.
What is going on during the time the computer is displaying the icon? Is it setting up the...
Okay, missed that on my read through of instructions. Thanks.
Creates working install disc but only runs about 2/3 of the way through and I get a null sign and everything stops. Tried the USB and Video options available but none seem to make a difference. I do not see an option to run the...
The EFI mounter does not display an option to select the USB. I assume this means the USB is not a boot disk. Which means something is going wrong with creating the disk. CSRUTIL is disabled, the latest version of Unibeast was used and it reported a success. It was created using USB3 ports. The...
Thanks for your reply but I am sorry, that means nothing to me. Could you elaborate or point me to something that explains whether this is good or bad and how it relates to my problem.
